what I don't understand is how you can be a evolutionist and not believe in creation, did we just drop out of the sky. Did something appear outside of nothingness by itself

The origin of life is dealt with by a completely different theory called abio- oh, what the hell! You won't get it anyway!
But I have a question for you, too: Wouldn't god have to have appeard outside of nothingness by himself?
evolution is a biology theory that deals with the changes in life once you have a living organism to begin with.
try abiogenesis and cosmology for how life may have started and how the universe began.
and YES to your last question, but not the way you mean.
Did God appear from nothingness by himself?
Did God make the universe from nothingness by itself?
I mean, your explanation still has the same pitfall you're using to disprove the other group.
If God created the universe, he still made something from nothing.
I bet if you ask them "Who made god, Creation requires a creator?" They'll say "God just is" at which point you can throw back "Why can't the universe 'just be'?"
“what I don't understand is how you can be a evolutionist and not believe in creation,”
The guys that taught me evolutionary theory did the ground work to explain it do me and show me the evidence.
The guys that taught me creationism just insisted that I read a book of fairy talesand accept it.
“ did we just drop out of the sky.”
No, I was Navy. We just washed ashore.
“Did something appear outside of nothingness by itself”
Nothing in the theoryof evolution or the theory of the big bang involves ‘from nothing.’
It’s utterly STUPID questions like this that make me get my wife to promise, if i’m EVER a creationist, have the doctor pull the plug, I’m not coming back.
Confused?
