I didn't know there was a wholesale effort by psychiatrists to label Christianity as a mental illness.
Not that it shouldn't be, but I don't think that's happening.
I agree. It was just horrible when that Christian doctor was killed -- in a fucking church! -- by Scott Roeder. And what about that psycho who had a house full of Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly books who shot up in the church in Tennessee?
That's not at all what my therapist said. She actually said that people need to satisfy their "spiritual health", whether that be by finding a religion or engaging in activities that they find deeply satisfying. And last time I checked, the big bang theory didn't mention any of the figures in the Bible.

I'm a therapist and I've never known a therapist to ever tell anyone anything like that. In fact, the only example I can think of are a couple of christian therapists who encourage christianity, but even they make it clear that they are christian therapists up front.

I screamed at my TV yesterday, because there was a show about people actively hating others due to their religion.
