Why hasn't Israel bombed Iran, as they bombed Iraq more than thirty years ago? Maybe because their political system of today produces cowards, not leaders.

Yeah, because your God is all "Kill, Kill, Kill", right? Oh, wait, he is...
Problem is, he's also the god of the Iraqis. Perhaps that's the big problem here; there is nothing so vicious as sibling rivalry, family feuds.
Your country bombed Japan* more than seventy years ago, but not today. Is your political system also producing cowards?
Well, look at mama's boy here; a perfect specimen for that!
I'd say it's cowards who shoot first and ask question later, while leaders try to reduce the death toll to a bare minimum, if possible.
Also, leaders go first, they don't send others to do their dirty work.
*(Now I had to go to YouTube and see/listen to Kraftwerk's Radioaktivity... I like it best in German.)
"Why hasn't Israel bombed Iran?"
possible answers as Israeli:
1) Iran is much more farther than Iraq. some of its program is out of reach for the Israeli F15 and F16 (and the futuristic F35 have lower range even with extra fuel that will make them lose the stealth ability).
2) Iran's nuclear program was spread over the country. Iraq's was in just one place.
3) Iraq was more depend upon foreign scientists and resources. thus, it was easier to destroy their program with one blow.
4) there were less countries in the way with worse aerial radar system and defense. it was easier to hide the attack. in addition, American forces in the area made it necessary to get green light from USA. that wasn't consideration in the case of Iraq.
5) Iran's program is better fortified and better defended than Iraq. in addition, reasons 1 and 2 would eliminate the factor of surprise.
6) Iran have more allies in the area and in the international community. thus, attack will carry heavier price for lesser return.
7) most of the heads of Israeli defense and intelligence organizations were opposed to the attack because of the reasons above or others.
Now, all the things above were public information and I don't claim to understand the intricacies of the government or army headquarters. I might be wrong, but it seem that most Israelis understood that this problem won't be solved by us alone.
I hope the nuclear deal will work, because all other options are worse.
Schlafly, like most right wing fundamentalists thinks Armageddon can be isolated to the Middle East, with some good Shitstorm tradewinds to have all the Fallout on Atheistic European centres.
Because that's the level of demented stupidity they've talked themselves into.
This lip service they have about Israel? Either they think there's a dome going up over it, God will shield it or they really don't fucking care about it in the least. Remember, many Fundamentalists believe that America became the new Holy land on the first Christian foot that stepped out.
Iran today is not a direct threat to its existence. Such an attack would be unprovoked.
If Iran does attack Israel, bombs away. War's not the best solution (and there are much better ones), but that would be the only situation in which it would remotely be okay for one country to let slip the dogs of war onto another.
@ Goomy pls:
Well, Iran does sort of attack Israel in an indirect fashion every now and then (by way of weapon exports to Hezbollah and Hamas, including ballistic missiles), though that of course isn't an existential threat. Nor is it direct, as already mentioned.
Confused?
