Thanks for removing all doubt as to what will be taught at U-Morris. My daughter was considering attending after she graduates next year. That will not be the case anymore.
Not like she has any say in it or anything. I kinda hope you go into her room one day, and see nothing but the acceptance letter on her bed.
For you to take it upon yourself to have people e-mail U of Vermont, protesting the invitation to have Ben Stein speak at commencement, shows a narrow minded disdain opposing views in not only science but probably everything else.
Yeah? Well he shows nothing but disdain for science, so tit-for-tat, buddy. He's a shill, and will sell out his Jewish heritage to the most shameless Godwins I've ever seen. I wouldn't want him as a speaker either.
Everyday. And I mean everyday. Your 'we come from goo' stance is loosing ground and you and your ilk are scared to death of continually being proven wrong.
No, actually, we eagerly await for you to show us this stunning evidence that proves evolution wrong. See...science gathers information and interprets it. All information...provided it has basis. GODDIDIT explains nothing. It predicts nothing. It is literally nothing more than a statement. It bears no more of a threat to evolution than me doing a pole dance in my underwear (Just TRY and get that image out of your head! :p)
So you go nuts at these opposing views of creation and what not.
No, we go nuts when people like you realize that the scientific route will laugh them out of the state, so you cheat, and try and take the back door in. Particularly when you whine about alternate views not being honored, but refuse to acknowledge the fact that there are thousands of creation myths out there. All it shows is what shameless hypocrites you are.
Funny thing is Stein is a nice guy and probably wouldn't even talk about that scary creation point of view anyway. You have got to lighten up.
No, but he showed what he's about when he marches around screaming about how the evil Nazis used evolution to kill his family. Again, it's not what he's expected to say, it's what words are attributed to him.
Please do not take this personally, since I have never met you or even heard of you until I saw Pharyngula. There are lots of people over the years that have been ramming this impossible Theory of Evolution down our throats. But that does not mean its true.
And the moment someone actually proves it false it will be removed from the classrooms.
Still waiting.
We need to keep open minds and field and teach opposing views and let truth take it where it leads no matter how improbable a direction.
'Kay. So you don't mind me telling your daughter that the world was created from the carcass of a giant slain by Odin, then? That his brains are the clouds, his blood, the seas...
Yeah, I thought not, so fuck off with the equal time bullshit.
