I don't know much about the scientific "arguments", so I can't say much there...just seems odd that a lot of fundies can't type.
1. Good thing we don't use Carbon dating for things older than that, huh? We use other elements.
2. Wrong - explain why your ignorance makes it inaccurate, however.
3. Lemme guess "becuz yhe bibel sats do"
1) Carbon dating can go back 60,000 years, you're correct, but there are more radioactive elements used for dating than C-14.
2) What flawed concept? Differential equations? Radiation?
3) Because Goddidit, obviously.
1. True, which is why it generally isn't used for things that are older than that (and anyone who does use it for such things should be whacked over the head with a hard object).
2. Anyone who says this doesn't understand isotopes and high school mathematics.
3. Then please state them.
I'm impressed just a smidge: this cretin is at least aware of other radiometric dating methods.
Still, that's one step forward, 49,107 steps back.
1. OMG I went out on a date with carbon once and she was a total beeyotch... wanted me to force her into a three-dimensional crystal lattice, wasn't happy with being planar sheets.
2. Well, I've often said the same thing about cyberdating, but people still do it. I just want to know who actually does radiodating -- there really aren't that many female hams out there. Maybe CBers -- I hear they're pretty good for horny truckers.
3. Nnnnno, not really.
The Sacred Code of Fundies.
1. We must always debate against evolution despite the fact that we don't even understand what it is and that all our arguments against it have been disproven too many times to count. But nevermind all their "evidence" and big words created to throw us of, we know we're right because a book written by bronze age goat herders tells us so.
2. We must do the same to all science surrounding evolution even though we don't understand how that works either.
3. Athiests are teh debbil.
4. Women have no value wath so ever except as servants of men.
5. Homosexualls are also teh debbil (same goes for liberals).
6. Good spelling is the enemy of all things holy in this world and must be avoided at all cost.
1. Carbon Dating can go back 60,000 Years... It also breaks the biblical date by nearly 10 times that value.
2. Radioactive methods work on a simple concept. The heat of the earth's core and the sun's cosmic rays create a roughly set amount of radioactive materials every day until the discovery of the power effects of radioactive "stuff" because we use a lot of it and that messes with the background. Living things in particular since life gains these substances due to being alive, when the living thing dies, it no longer accumulates life. We know the half life for a fair few substances. We can work it out with the power of basic maths. We just count the number of times the new radiation reading has halved from its known orignal score... Giving a rough idea of number of years. Carbon 14 since its so "unstable" has a fairly quick half life. Since radioactive decay is not a guaranteed halfing and indeed the inital numbers vary around a start point, if you go beyond a certain amount of time you start getting wildly different answers.
3. The earth was proved to be more than a million years old by the time Lord Kelvin was about. Thats more than a century ago... Verging on Two... Shut the hell up.

Of course, I mean it's not like radioactivity is very well understood. Oh wait, it's extremely well understood. It's one of the most understood areas of physics.
Maybe your problem is with statistics. If that is the case I can assure statistical physics is a very different kind of statistics to the "8 out of 10 cats prefer Whiskers" kind.
1. Carbon Dateing can onyl go back 10,000s at the most.
It can be used reliably for about 40000 years, and can, with rising uncertainty be extended to about 60000 years. Please do your research.
2. All Radiodateing Methods are ase don a very Flawed Concept
RadioMETRIC dating methods are based on mathematical laws of nature. It dosn't get much better.
3. There are many reaosn why the Earht couldn't posiibly be that Old.
Then name them, serious arguments only please.
And finally, use a dictionary.
I like your style of arguing your case so let's see if I can follow your example and prove you wrong in just two steps.
1. There are many reasons why you're wrong.
2. There are even more reasons why you're wrong.
1. 50,000 years actually - ~10 half lives of C14.
2. No, the concept is entirely valid.
3. No, there are precisely zero reasons...
Who is using carbon dating to date the age of the Earth? No one, because as you pointed out it can't be used for dates that old.
Radiometric dating methods DO actually have some flawed assumptions. eg. that the amount of atmospheric carbon is stable across time and space. Which is why dates are calibrated using other methods of dating and why there are margins of error on the dates.
Geez this kind of thinking is so annoying. Some creationist reads something that they interpret as a problem with carbon dating, then they tell two friends and they tell two friends and so on... then you get barely literate people claiming that "All Radiodateing Methods are ase don a very Flawed Concept" even though they know nothing about how it works and how these flaws are dealt with.
When I went to school, we learned to spell before we learned about carbon dating.
There is only one reason why the earth should be younger than 10 000 years: 'Cause the Bible says so.
Oh, and please get a spell-check program. My eyes, and my brain, are hurting.
1. sounds right, but there are a multitude of other dating methods.
2. What concept would that be?
3. Such as? And don't gimme the bible, cause its full of circular reasoning, arguments from authority, and other nonsensical tales that are nothing but made up stories
Good thing we have methods besides carbon dating that go back way further, like argon dating.
Also, learn fucking English. Maybe once you've done that you can learn proper science.
Confused?
