Indeed. The service Stalin did to the Jewish people is indispensable. Holocaust revisionism is a fringe movement to point to as the bad guy, the real holocaust revisionism is the lie that the west cared at all about Hitler's desire to conquer Eastern Europe and the USSR and wipe out the jewish population. It was Stalin who armed the jews to liberate themselves and fought for their freedom.

Not only has the revisionism of the present forgotten this fact, it has turned truth into lie and accused Stalin and the USSR of anti-semitism. Possibly the most vile slander of all because it's implicitly supported by the fascist interests of israel who conveniently forgot the USSR's essential role in the founding of israel.

not that I necessarily support that position, that's a complicated historical question which is colored by today's perspectives rather than the post-holocaust shock. but Stalin and the USSR always were a friend of the jewish people and saved them from annihilation and nothing makes me sicker than the fascist lies that are told about him in the racist west now that it's convenient to care about jews.
