But in no situation should you sin against God [by divorcing], no matter how much pain or emotional problems you have to go through. It is much better than sinning against God Almighty.

OK for starters even Jesus said you could divorce! (he gave female adultery as an excuse).
Before that in the old testament, women were the property of men who could have as many wives as they wanted and keep or discard the ones they didn't want. They could even claim the woman wasn't a virgin on their wedding night and if her father hadn't kept the bedsheets from that night and they weren't covered in blood she'd get stoned to death!
Next fucking stupid comment!
"It is much better than sinning against God Almighty."
Why?
Jesus, I've seen ants with better morality than your idea of God.
My mother was a religious person, and even she always said that there are three reasons a person could legitimately divorce: abuse, adultery, and abandonment. If you think about it, all three of those things mean that the vow that you swore to uphold on your wedding day is now null and void. The other party is thus released from the agreement.
Now, why would an omnipotent, omniscient deity not realize this??
Yeah, just stay in the abusive marriage. It's probably your fault anyway, you cause him/her to beat you up somehow. If he/she beats you to death, then you'll just join God sooner.

Right, no divorce, just put your wife aside and marry another woman. Hey, King David did it and he was on of God's poster boys, so it must be okay with him, right?
Just like a relationship with God, no matter how much the person you're with belittles you and abuses you only to say it's your fault, you should stick with them because they promise it will be better this time.
Aka, God; the ultimate abusive spouse.
The justification of a form of subjugation. It is also typical to cite convenient quotes from an ancient patriarchal culture, to pretend that it would be holy law, to that effect. And sometimes to use such to justify other abuses, that can even actually be illegal in one's jurisdiction. And highly unethical. Blackmailing, segregation, rape, beatings and abduction come to mind...
Confused?
