Chopping up babies is what liberals call health care.

There as an eminently sensible retort,
Chopping up babies? Obama will chop up infants, up to a year old, if you let him.
Which, of course, he's rubbing his hands with glee over...
Oddly enough, every county in the developed world except the USA has a state healthcare system and none of them 'chop up babies'.
In fact, for the richest country the USA has an appalling record on infant health-care. It's 46th in the world league-table of infant survival rates (according to the CIA World Factbook), just below Guam.

Blessed be the children of Grace Centered Christian Forums. Blessed be the children of the cosmos.
Surely I need not mention my conversations with our Lord to bolster the rather obvious fact that He abhors the dissemination of false information in His name.
Know you Lou, that to indulge in lying and to willfully repeat patent untruths does besmirch the very stamp of His holy truth and cheapens His omnipotence. It behooves you to at all times remember the grace with which you must always conduct yourself within the compass of His all-reaching sight, which is eternal and omnipresent.
Lest ye be forever riddled with the spawn of demonic servants to your ultimate and eternal regret, then immediately turn away from these hellish inventions and set foot once more on the path to eternal love.
Blessings be upon you Lou.
Amen
Technically, there isn't any "chopping up" done anymore. The suction process tears up The Blob all by itself.
And I'm sorry, but when you consider the high price of an abortion, it really does make sense to cover it in case a woman is raped, or an embryo is conceived with Tay-Sachs.
*YAWN *
We in the UK have had abortions for decades - usually free via our NHS. And as for China, for many years they've had virtual industrial-scale abortions. Where was your concern then?Oh, yes, that's right. America is God's own country, and anywhere else doesn't matter. Ignorant, geographically illiterate & Americentric, much?
In all those years, why weren't you protesting outside Parliament, Whitehall or even Downing Street? Or even in Beijing, protesting in Tiananmen Square? If the 'Unborn Children' in America are good enough for saving, so are those here in the UK or in China. Oh, but like I say - your concern is extremely selective (that, and you know China, unlike the USA, isn't a 'Soft Target'. Your doing so would earn you 10 years hard labour and pro-Communist/Atheist indoctrination in a re-education camp).
Further proof of what I say: Hypocrisy, thy name is Fundie.
"Chopping up babies is what liberals call health care."
Letting everyone who isn't white and rich die of easily curable diseases because they can't afford treatment is what conservatives call health care.
See? I can make outrageously stupid statements too.
Because Nationalized Health Care is always about killing the innocents to you retards, isn't it. The excellent cancer care I received up here in Canada after being diagnosed with lymphoma must have been in my imagination, just like my father's prostate cancer treatments.
Idiots.

Are you kidding us? The anti-choice crowd has long used China as Exhibit A.
Abortion damned well should be covered because it's fucking LEGAL and is a necessary part of women's health services, but unfortunately, it won't be because of the fundie Hyde Amendment, no matter how much you lie about it.
I'd love to see how loudly these asshats would howl if say, some Jehova's Witness got into power and managed to pass an amendment banning coverage for blood transfusions. I'll bet they'd think that was an outragous volation of separation of church and state, but banning abortion coverage because of their religion, well, that's OK.
And there is no proposal anywhere for socialized medicine, except on FOX News. But of course, fundie here doesn't even know what socialized medicine means.
First of all, of all European countries which have a social healthcare, virtually almost none of them covers abortions but, on the other hand, women who want to have abortions had them, number 1 America. Your problem?
@Doctor Whom
"Are you kidding us? The anti-choice crowd has long used China as Exhibit A."
Correct. But said 'Pro-Lifers' haven't exactly displayed their concern for all those 'Unborn Children' over there by similarly protesting in China, as they do in America. Therefore exhibiting their hypocrisy. Certainly on this issue. And if they're not prepared to protest in Tiananmen Square, and suffer the resulting consequences - then what makes them think they have the right to protest anywhere else?
Sounds more like a fun weekend than health care.
Throw in some booze, maybe a stripper or two, and we've got ourselves a PAR-TAY!
Tolpuddle Martyr: "Oh, come up with something original you dingbats!"
Well, they've already admitted -- repeatedly -- that thinking is of teh debbil, so the likelihood of one of them having an original thought is about the same as that of my cat inventing a space ship fueled by hamsters running on little wheels.
House Democrat Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.) told us that abortion would be covered in the socialized medicine bill proposed by Obama and Democrats
So how do you intend to get around the fact that neither Obama, nor the vast majority of democrats have put forth a bill that would implement socialized medicine. There is no serious push or proposal in either the house or senate. It's not socialism going on here, it's facsism, it's a multi billion dollar gift to the health insurance industry in the form of millions of new customers that must, by law, purchase private healthcare insurance.
Chopping up babies is what liberals call health care.
Sort of like destroying a countries basic infrastructure and killing hundreds of thousands of non combatant civilians and then calling it liberation and democracy like the conservatives do.
On the other side of the coin, NHC will also mean we will have to pay for the delivery and health care of all those damn "quiverfull" families who will probably be the first to sign up, no matter what they say. So calculate the cost of prenatal care, labor and delivery, shots, check ups, injury and illness treatments for the 16-18 wastes on society one family insists on pushing out, compare that to the cost of a few abortions, and quit your bitching.
Q: How do you get a baby out of a blender ?
A: corn chips :-)
We have national health care in Australia and more happy healthy babies are born because they and their mothers get good healthcare from conception.
If a woman chooses and 2 doctors also approve she can choose to have a pregnancy terminated. But the vast majority of mothers and children have a safe and healthy life.
The whole health care reform situation in the US has just gotten pathetic. I used to feel real sympathy for Americans screwed by their insurance run health system, especially after watching Sicko, but at this point I'm starting to feel that Americans have exactly the healthcare system they deserve. The right wingers are totally opposed to any kind of improvement, and the rest just don't seem to care enough to make a big fuss.
I find it totally unbelievable that Americans can speak with disgust about how awful "Socialized Medicine" would be, while sending their kids to "Socialized Education", enjoying the protection of "Socialized Police", "Socialized Fire Department" etc.
Imagine if there was no "Socialized Police" and people had to get "murder investigation insurance", and how many kids could afford a child abuse investigation against their parents?
It really does make sense to have some things run by the government and healthcare is one of them. It dosen't mean you can't have a private healthcare industry, who can provide premium service, shorter wait times for elective surgery etc, but it shouldn't be the only option. The fact that the police exist has not put private investigators and security companies out of buisness.
Confused?
