Then surely it's within the power of your "god" to make the drug cocktail/morphine overdose not work then? Is it not concievable that it was the will of your god that allowed someone in great pain the opportunity of assisted suicide?
And with our technology today a person can be pain free
As someone who was nearly killed in a car accident I can tell you with absolute certainty that that in many cases there is no way to be pain free. The dosage of painkillers that I had to take just to be able to function was so high that accidental overdose was always a worry, and even then I was still in constant pain, I just didn't care as much. I'll be in constant pain for the rest of my life and there is absolutely nothing that "technology" can do about it, so I don't want to hear it.
or even put into a coma induced state so they do not suffer.
The medical community is not 100% certain that whither or not a person in an induced coma can feel pain or not, and that is not always a viable option.
And this "power" of euthanasia will be abused.
Assisted suicide isn't a "power" that can be abused, it requires the written consent of the person dying. If a doctor just goes euthanising people without consent then that's murder.
Especially like in other countries where the family gets to decide. (based on the burden the sick or elderly person presents to the family)
Which countries specifically? And the last time I checked it still required the consent of the dying person. It's not that I dismiss your claim out of hand, it's that I think your full of shit.
