It seems there is some kind of basis then, to the idea of an pact between Atheism and Islam, how long before the Atheists form a phalanx in front of their Islamic allies and prepare for battle against the West?

It seems there is some kind of basis then, to the idea of an pact between Evangelical Christianity, Catholicism and Islam, how long before the Christians form a phalanx in front of their Islamic allies and prepare for battle against Secularist values such as freedom from religion and women's rights?
Why would I, a staunch atheist, ally myself with religious persons, Xian, Islamic or any other variety?
You're an idiot.
The Evil Atheist Conspiracy's alliance with Islam is but a trick! We will use it to destroy Christianity and after we have met that goal, we will turn on Islam! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!![/Evil Supervillain]
Sorry, nothing else seemed appropriate.
I hate to break it to you, but Muslims hate atheists way more than they do Christians (many Muslims refer to Christians respectfully as "People of the Book").
In fact, it might not seem possible, but many Muslims hate atheists more than you do. Saying there is a "pact" between them is like saying the NAACP is sharing office space with the KKK.
You know why most of us don't say a whole lot about Islam?
1) Regarding the loonies who want to bomb us, no one needs any convincing. It'd be like saying water is wet. Christian fundamentalism, on the other hand, is not viewed so unfavorably by most people.
2) Too many people lump all of Islam in with the Islamic fundamentalists. That is as unfair as lumping all of Christianity in with you, and I believe it does no one any good for us to sink to such a level of fanaticism.
3) Islam has very little impact on our daily lives. Much as the Iranian imams might want to force us to live by sharia law, there's not really a damn thing they can do about it. Christian fundamentalists, on the other hand, are a much greater threat to potentially enforce their religion as law.
Not really, but in the United Nations islamic countries regularly propose blasphemy laws that would give all religions - and their believers, and what they do - protection from "defamation", and when a german court declared unnecessary circumcision of children equal to assault, all religions together cried persecution. Granted, you do this out of convenience and sometimes you are just clueless, as when conservative lawmakers find out with surprise that faith schools can be muslim, and you're too bigoted to really work together with other religions without trying to come up on top and persecute them later, but still, the battle is on civil rights and their enemies, not on which flavour of insanity we hear from preachers.
Confused?
