Confirmation bias. You live in a prominently Christian environment and don't know atheists, or those you know won't tell, knowing you. You only know of some on the internet. You also misconstrue as atheist many people who aren't, because they are not as Christian fundamentalist as you are. You misconstrue atheism as anti-theism or anti-Christian. Because of your Christian environment, you're more exposed to realistic criticism of that environment. Because you're fundamentalist, you misconstrue valid criticism as anti-Christian.
And you're whining with your frivolous persecution complex on web forums where it's off-topic. Why this obsession? The straw man of the world as anti-Christian, symptom and destination of Christian fundamentalism. Cognitive dissonance, tension against the world and isolation, to exploit the victims trapped in that. Is this constatation anti-Christian? If you whine, you don't expect a response?
As Wehpudicabok said, it's also self-proclaimed "Christians" who are again trying to take over the US with a racist theocratic authoritarian oil regime dictatorship, in 2024. And are promoting murderous savagery in other parts of the world, notably in Africa.
If they really followed Jesus's love and charity message closer, I'd respect them more. I despise hypocrisy, dishonest manipulation, exploitation and abuse. If you're a Christian, it's time to prove that you're better than those hypocrites and to reject the fascist mobs and their lies. You'll face actual religious persecution whenever and wherever the necessary separation of church and state is violated, what protects your right to be in the Christian denomination of your choice.
Excellent comment by Anon2, too... Just like "ex-evolutionist" testimonials are easily recognized as false by their straw men and ignorance.
