Tyler Reynolds Ray is one of the dumbest apologists I have ever seen. The banana, proof that god made it just for us. Even though, it was originally differently shaped and full of seeds before people genetically modified it. Not believing in god is no different from not believing in elves or vampires. There is no reason to believe in any of them. If the bible is proof of god, then the twilight books are proof of vampires.

What about this:
The video says "Comfort apologized for his mistake about the banana, saying 'My apologies for not explaining myself more clearly, I was not aware that the common banana had been so modified through hybridization.' However, the truth remains that God gave man the knowledge and ability to modify it so it could perfectly fit into his hand. He did the same with big dogs so they could fit into his car and with wild cats so that they are perfectly fit for his wife.

What??? Ray is standing by his "the modern banana was designed by God" thing even after it's been pointed out how what we know as the banana is the result of human intervention? And he has the balls to call other people childish, pathetic, unthinking, intellectually bankrupt, and foolish?
Actually this backtracking doesn't surprise me at all from Ray, his dishonesty looms large. He's probably noticed his followers have dismissed the modern banana problem as they dismiss any attempt to lead them to evolution explanations giving Ray his chance to keep the stupid banana thing going.
I myself never knew the modern banana was a fairly recently bred product when Ray first came out with his "Atheist Nightmare" brainfart. I however did know that most the world had no access to them 75 to 100 years ago, meaning God only likes certain tropical people?
Pretty much everything Ray says is just as poorly thought through and never researched. Big reason so many are attracted to preaching instead of productive activities, you just get to presuppose and make shit up all the time.
It would be nice for Ray to address the fact that Newton also collected the contradictions and errors in the Bible in process to resolve them yet never could logically realize anyway but to accept the Bible contained errors.
Rays of the fundamentalist bend that won't accept them as errors and in place of explaining them he utilizes the fundamentalists main methodology of ignoring them as they cherry pick their way to their own personal Jesus.

But I find it even more remarkable that he doesn’t use “man” as meaning “mankind” but an actual man. Who has a wife. And that cats have been modified to “fit” with that wife.

Newton also believed in alchemy and spent a large portion of his later years trying to perfect the "philosopher's stone" to allow him to transmute lead to gold. Just because someone is brilliant in one area doesn't mean they're going to be brilliant in everything they do.
Then you have people like Bananaman, who is brilliant in no area, except maybe for milking his intellectual equals out of money.
I strongly suspect that, if alive today, and with modern scientific knowledge, Newton would be firmly in the atheist camp.

Question: Why didn't the Bulldog exist before the domestication of canids? That - via selective breeding to a specific 'Standard' - is now a prime example of the whole nub of this gist: Bulldogs can no longer breed naturally; they can only do so via human intervention.

Exactly, the get a lot of mileage out of the fact that hardly anyone back then would profess to be an unbeliever and the likes of Newton depended on sponsors to support his research.
We'll never know how religious he really was. Even his deep study of the Bible, and his writings therefrom may have been in consideration of the vast potential of church or religious royalty funding.
Even if Newton was deeply devote He'd have nothing to do with modern America fundamentalists like Ray.
