I am really, really tempted to study up on Nephilim mythology and infiltrate the RM boards to freak them out with overly erudite, articulate speeches and such.

In the Hebrew Bible, there are a number of other words that, like "Nephilim", are sometimes translated as "giants"

Nephilim is a hebrew word that means something similar to "the fallen ones" or "those who have fallen in battle" and in Gensis chapter 6, are described as a race of half-human, half-demon offspring, with supernatural powers and abilities. The Book of Enoch goes into greater detail about them. Supposedly they were the reason why god destroyed the world with a flood, because their demon-tainted blood had spread into practically every human being except Noah and his family. According to the Book of Enoch, they taught men such things as science, magic, the use of make-up, and other such things that fundies despise of. However, either the flood didn't kill them all, or another group arrived after the flood. According to those who believe in these things, when Jesus said that in the end times it would be the same as in the days of Noah, that he's actually refering to the reappearing of the Nephilim.
