God could have easily created the sun on day three, then the plants on day four, but the more I read these comments, the more convinced I'm beginning to become that He did that on purpose, knowing that thousands of years hence, a systematic approach of observing His creation based on "sight", not "faith", would be invented.
In short, He created things "out of order" (and I say this from the perspective of "science"), so as to refute pure science.

Yes, absolutely. God purposely tried to deceive people. Making God a liar.
AV1611VET, meet Bro. Randy. Bro. Randy, I do believe you said something to the effect that God couldn't possibly be a liar...
'He did that on purpose, knowing that thousands of years hence, a systematic approach of observing His creation based on "sight", not "faith", would be invented.'
Yeah, why bother actually doing research to find out what happened when you can just invent some fanciful explanation that you like? It's so much easier to just have 'faith' in something you like than actually getting out there, researching, analysing the data, and generally using your brain productively.
This is a start, at least. A fundy admitting that observational science is accurate.
His conclusions, however, are simply fucktarded.
This is why items of faith, unlike science, are non-falsifiable. No matter how much evidence there is against them, they will somehow find an explanation that suits their preconceptions.
C'mon AV1611VET, does reality really scare you that much?
C'mon out the broom cupboard and see what the world has to offer. (closet had other connotations, and broom cupboard alludes to the pagan origins of the bible)
Translation: "The Bible is definitive. Reality is frequently inaccurate."
If your God went out of his way to make it look like the Bible was wrong, and then punishes people for believing that the Bible was wrong, then he's a cosmic sadist.
Riiiiight, so basically you're saying God did this to catch the smart people out. Do you really think God wants to spend eternity with fuckwits like you and JohnR7 and dad?
Jesus said the MEEK shall inherit the Earth, not the morons!
So if God is deceiving us, then why should we love him but not Satan, also a deceiver, if the Babble is to be believed?
Actually, God is a very good chap. He makes the world so that idiots like you believe in creationism, that is, take like Gospel a symbolic fable. Then he puts logical evidence on Earth, and now you say, Oh Lord, thank you for being so smart as to asume we were going to be scientists. Man, the question is, isn´t it easier to admit that maybe the Bible is a symbolic book, written by religious men with no knowledge of science?. Please, don´t rationalise what it´s not meant to be.
He did that on purpose, knowing that thousands of years hence, a systematic approach of observing His creation based on "sight", not "faith", would be invented.
But God has never shown that He favors faith over sight. People had plenty of faith during the Plagues - they crawled on their knees to the church daily - and it didn't help. Today we can cure it with antibiotics. They had faith when the lightning rod was invented. In fact, some churches refused to have one because they thought it thwarted God's will. The lightning burned down the church and left the whore house with the lightning rod standing. God has never shown any interest in "refuting pure science" - if anything, He refutes blind stupidity .
Confused?
