And let me reiterate. Nihilism, in order to be pure, must be continuous. Otherwise, its not nihilism. Its psuedo-nihilism. BREAKING NEWS: We exist. Oooops. Nihilism just got compromised. As did atheism. Because if we die and go into atheism's pithed fairy tale land of nonexistent emptiness, we're gonna have to eradicate this life entirely of its molecular reality also. Either nihilism is linear or its not. Otherwise, it can't be nihilism and then... oh no... ahtheism doesn't have a home.

My head hurts, but it apparently doesn't actually exist, so I guess it's okay.
Exactly why am I suddenly homeless?
Hey, fucktard, I'll address the simplest problem with your elegant little paragraph above. One does not have to be a nihilist in order to be an atheist. The terms are in no way synonymous or even necessarily related.
I don't know what you're rambling about, but I think you will find it hard to locate anyone who claims that out of the trillion+ animals that have walked the Earth in the past and present, even a fraction of them would have anything waiting for them after death besides nonexistence. So if it's okay for them, why is it a fairytale for Humans?
@Rockstar: Same thought here.
Allow me to attempt an iteration of these words in a comprehendable language...
Premise: We exist.
Premise: Atheism only works if we deny everything - the world, god, etc.
Conclusion: We exist, therefore everything exists, including god.
Basically, both his premises are completely retarded, and the conclusion leads to a logical antinomy.
In terms of logical flaws, this is even worse than the lexographic proof of god we had a little while ago.
That, and the already noted misuse of the word linear make me nominate this for a "Highest Density of Wrong" Award. WTF would also work.
"And let me reiterate. Nihilism, in order to be pure, must be continuous."
Well, heaven forbid that we should have impure nihilism.
"Otherwise, its not nihilism."
By some of it's definitions nihilism is an absolute.
"Its psuedo-nihilism."
Heavens to Betsy! We have FAKE nihilism?
"BREAKING NEWS: We exist. Oooops. Nihilism just got compromised."
Not all of the definitions of nihilism mean non-existance.
"As did atheism. Because if we die and go into atheism's pithed fairy tale land of nonexistent emptiness,"
No, you're missing the point. There is no "land of non-existent emptiness." That implies that atheists believe in some after-life in an actual place.
What the heck is a pithed fairy tale?
"we're gonna have to eradicate this life entirely of its molecular reality also."
No. Molecular reality?
"Either nihilism is linear or its not."
Linear? WTF?
"Otherwise, it can't be nihilism and then... oh no... ahtheism doesn't have a home."
Atheism is not dependant on nihilism.
It seems by your use of the term "nihilism," you believe that no other philosophy can exist if nihilism exists, and that includes Christianity.
Mirror much? Atheism's "pithed land of nonexistent emptiness" aint no fairy tale; it's the cold, uncompromising truth arrived at by rational thought and all the evidence thus far collected.
As has been implied already, however, your description of it as some kind of experience or place strongly suggests you are one of those unfortunate people who simply cannot comprehend the notion of your own non-existence. Don't be ashamed, it's a damn difficult concept for anybody, but just try a little bit harder and you might manage it.
I need some honey mustard to deal with this here word salad.
The only thing that could make this worse is if he crammed the words progressive, liberal, and secular in somewhere.
Otherwise, MASSIVE TRUCK O' FAIL.
Nihilism.
Does.
Not.
Work.
That.
Way.
Atheism =/= nihilism.
YOU FAIL.
And let me reiterate. Nihilism, in order to be pure, must be continuous. Otherwise, its not nihilism. Its psuedo-nihilism. BREAKING NEWS: Life means something. Oooops. Nihilism just got compromised. As did Christianity. Because if we die and go into Christianity's pithed fairy tale land of clouds and mansions, we're gonna have to eradicate this life entirely of its worth as well. Either nihilism is linear or its not. Otherwise, it can't be nihilism and then... oh no... Christianity doesn't have a home.
FIXED
Why Religions are not called philosophies. Because they give one none of the tools to recognize absolutes or randomness.
The Fundie can't avoid creating a physical manifistation of something that doesn't exist (an attempt to claim Atheists believe in an afterworld)to equate their faith with everone having spiritual beliefs. Telling Atheist what they think again and as usual completely wrong
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
