We ought to obey the Laws set forth in the Word of God. Exodus 22:18 plainly states, “Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.” The Bible mandates the death penalty upon all genuine witches, just as the Bible pronounces death for all abortionists, adulterers, murders and homosexuals. Get mad at God if you don't like it, because He said it. Salem, Massachusetts is in serious trouble with God for legalizing, encouraging, sponsoring and honoring witchcraft.

My understanding that 'witch' in the bible was a mistranslation of the word 'poisoner'.
Regardless, we don't have to live by what the bible says, so it doesn't matter if it is anti-witch. Cos guess what, it's irrelevant what the bible says!

Witch (in the Bible sense) =/= Wiccan. Modern Wiccans would call those practices black magic and disavow them.
Witches in the Biblical sense were specifically malicious (I seem to remember that there was a Talmudic statement that anything meant to heal was by definition not witchcraft), involved in stuff like necromancy, poison, and curses, and not necessarily ineffectual - sure, the magic itself didn't work, but "witchcraft" relied just as much on the use of poisons - it was sort of a mix of superstition, bits of different religions, and bits of accurate or semi-accurate knowledge. (Some people even think the word should be translated "poisoner"; in any case, it means someone who works with chemicals, toxic plants, and potions at least as much as it does a "magician".)

Mistranslation as has been pointed out. The word in Exodus is better translated poisoner, or one who deals in drugs, druggist, etc.
Basically "Thou shalt not suffer a pharmacist to live."

You wouldn't believe the amount of Arcane/Magick/Wiccan shops in that town. Not only is it completely legal here in the UK, it's part & parcel of the celebration of life that is the Glastonbury Festival, Druids - and so many others - have just celebrated Summer Solstice at Stonehenge a couple of days ago.
Not even Oliver Cromwell could prevent what is ingrained in British culture; Arthurian legends, Excalibur, the Lady of the Lake, Merlin, Avalon, and all that jazz (even into the future ; in an episode of "Babylon 5").

Way to twist it Dave, when Salem was witch hunting and killing innocents it was a true Hell hole, the elders are templates for many horror movies over the years. This isn't unique, torturous dictatorship are the norm in religious rule.
