It would take as long for everything to evolve too. By then the sun would burn out before we came along.

This is another case of unfathomable numbers gumming up the works.
Maybe if you wait until every gene evolves separately and has to be selected separately. But they don't have to do that. Once you have a self replicating set of molecules (or an organism if you wish), the things that work won't have to mutate and distribute again. The further you go down (as in closer to the origin of humans) the humans' evolutionary "ladder" the larger the chance that the organism on a specific place will turn out to be a human.
