If people visit Syria to see the statues, they're complicit in Syrian atrocities. Best that the artifacts and ruins are destroyed.

It's the belief that the tourism revenue goes to the Assad regime; therefore, anyone who visits the country as a tourist is financing the SAA. Destroying the artifacts and ruins is, in Yama's fucked-up mind, a scorched earth approach to denying Assad a source of income.

Yama takes the Sunni Islamists' side whenever their opponents are Shiites. He's condoned Daesh's actions before, and there's also the matter of his anti-Semitism when he supported that Jordanian mass murderer. Yes, that puts him on the same side as the Taliban, and hunting and killing them is a proper response.

Unfortunately, the law protects him from the full measure of the retribution he deserves. Morally, though, he's equivalent to Richard Spencer and should end up facing the fist.

There is a difference - sometimes a world of difference; other times, not all that much - between speech and action.

In my view, speech can and should be countered with more speech. Whatever else happens, vile illogic must be countered with fact and logic and the best rhetorical tools that exist because whereas one can maim and kill people, ideas don't die.

(As an example, I give you NSDAP. It made a certain amount of sense at the time. Now its ideas are antiquated and skewed to address post WW1 conditions that no longer exist in a region that's no longer the same. So why the fuck is it still around - and not only around but mutating? The old guard are dead, or dybbukim, and yet for some young people Hitler might as well still be alive; they're so avid. They read his words with more fervour than average party members did in the damned '30s. Obviously punching Nazis, killing Islamist sympathisers who've only spoken for their cause as opposed acting violently in service to it - aside from its being wrong on an ethical level, it also plain does not work. For me, that leaves only two possibilities: (1) Bad ideas never fucking die, or (2) bad ideas need to be defeated again and again and again by better ones - eroded the way tides erode land.)

The thing is, I care little about views, no matter how vile they may be. Just as police look for any infraction to give themselves probable cause, I will exploit any weakness in my enemies' defense. I consider Yamamanama as well as both the pro- and anti-violence factions here as enemies—that's why I submit quotes more often than comment.

After so many quotes where commenters called for genocide advocates on either side of the political aisle to be punched, one of our own has been identified as a offender. I've given them a starting point for later rationalization; this is their chance to either back up their words with deeds or to be considered self-serving hypocrites.

Despite what happened at the Battle of the Boyne, the political wing of the terrorist IRA, Sinn Fein still acknowledge - in Stormont - that Northern Ireland is part of the Union.

'King Billy' is still here - between the Magistrates Court and the Jobcentre in Market Place - in Hull.

A horseshoe's throw away from there is what was formerly Holy Trinity Church, now renamed Hull Minster. A Church of England place of worship: Protestant.

Strange how that statue is still there: untouched by any Catholic.

But then, there's Spring Bank: Hull's main Muslim immigrant district.

PROTIP: We being City of Culture this year. Question:

Are those people complicit in atrocities against Catholics?

The rebuilding around the Beverley Gate, right now: further preserving the ruins of the site - in front of Whitefriargate - where the English Civil War: Protestants (Cromwell) vs. Catholics (Charles I) effectively started.
