Gay men, as a rule, don't rape boys. They're interested in grown men. It's straight men who rape boys, most likely because they're attracted to preadolescent boys' lack of masculine secondary sexual characteristics: pronounced muscles, body hair, deep voice, Adam's apple, etc. Lacking these characteristics, preadolescent boys more closely resemble women than men, which is why straight men (the vast majority of pedophiles) are attracted to boys as well as girls.
