I don't believe that animals have souls. Scientists have proven that when humans die their body weighs less and no difference when an animals die [<a href="http://www.snopes.com/religion/soulweight.asp " target="_blank">Snopes</a>]. plus christ died for humans not animals. however i hope we are allowed one or two when we get to the pearly gates.

My late companion felt likewise, at least concerning the desire to have her deceased pets join her in heaven.

Julian re: Prescott - he's quite sweet really (I met the guy once), but not greatly troubled by intelligence, although it's hard to tell how clever he really is, the way he mangles English.
Your useage of logic against the fundies is not nearly harsh enough. Wait until this "proof" comes up again sometime.

- The notion that your soul leaves the body and goes to Heaven after death is a Platonic idea. It is not described explicitly anywhere in the bible.
