There will be no funding in any health care bill for abortion (even though there should be, because it's fucking legal), thanks to a federal law called the Hyde Amendment. They don't even have to exclude abortion from the health care bill because funding for that is already prohibited thanks to Hyde, so don't you worry, the women are still at the back of the bus, right where you want them to be.

And IF it were true that your tax dollars were funding abortions, maybe you now know what it feels like when we atheists have to pay taxes to support religious displays on government property.
This whole thing is about restoring foreign aid for health care in countries that may use it to provide abortions. The Bush administration decided if a country used any money for abortions, it would cut the aid off and let the post-birth people die for lack of medical care. Again, it's pro-life before birth, the hell with them thereafter.

And look at it this way, it's cheaper to pay for the abortion than to support the kid through foster care and quite possibly prison (foster care doesn't usually bring out the best in people).
