The great star Wormwood (a brown dwarf star) is now in the night sky, I have tracked it now for 6 months, naked eye, infrared binoculars and high powered binoculars it has 7 Moons and a corona that is 2 million miles wide. It is what all sky, space related web sites are calling Jupiter and right now Earth is about 6 months away from passing Wormwood close up and the destruction it will cause inbound to the Sun is in Revelation Ch 8
and the outbound destruction is in Rev Ch 16

If it's a brown dwarf, which is essentialy a failed star, then it hardly qualifies as a "great star". Moreover, On what evidence do you base your assumption that it's a brown dwarf? It was not described as such in the bible.

Brown Dwarfs do not have coronas. How do you know the number of "moons" orbiting it? You could not not possibly make those kind of observations with the naked eye or the most expensive, highest powered pair of binoculars in the world with out these "moons" being the size of mars at the very least.

Gee you'd think they would have noticed the difference between Jupiter and an object which is, at the very least, 10 Jupiter masses and likely 50 or more Jupiter masses, and would be significantly larger than Jupiter in size. And that doesn't even begin to factor in the massive gravitational disturbances that could not possibly go unnoticed, or be mistken for some other planet.

For it to be a mere 6 months away it would be much closer than the orbit on Jupiter, and moving through the solar system at a speed far, far greater than any observed orbiting body, so fast in fact that it's speed would be best measured in fractions of the speed of light. Nor could it maintain an orbit because it would exceed the sun's escape velocity. An last but certainly not least, for an object of that size and mass to be just 6 months away would not only be visible in the night sky, but also nearly the size of the moon in appearence.

The biblical Wormwood is said to destroy 2/3 if everything, a close pass by an object of 10 to 80 jupiter masses would likely significantly alter the orbit and rotation of the ear, if not tear it out of orbit altogether. These scenarios will not leave your required 1/3rd but rather something on the 1/100th, if anyone survived at all.

Stars don't have moons. They have planets but not moons, which orbit the planet.

One, if such a star really was that close, we'd know it.
Two, I assume your talking about Rev. 8:11:
And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

You are aware that means that it would have to be a astroid or something else which could taint our water supply instead of a star passing by (which would likely kill everyone instead of "many.")

That orange thing on the left is the sun, kiddo. I admit I don't know much about astronomy, but I don't believe anything is coming back out once it flies into the sun, even if it IS the size of Jupiter.

Jupiter is not a brown dwarf. Though it is roughly the same size as most brown dwarfs, it is about 1/13th the mass required to sustain any amount of fusion at all, where it would be considered a brown dwarf.

Even then, there are a few problems with your analysis. Firstly, your great star, even if it were a brown dwarf, still wouldn't be a star. Brown dwarfs are substellar objects. It is sometimes called a failed brown dwarf, which is like saying it failed to become a failure at becoming a star. It does generate more power than it receives from the sun, which you might in the future consider a reference point for a real star looks like, but that is through the Kelvin-Helmholtz mechanism, not fusion.

As for Jupiter coming into the inner solar system at this time for no apparent reason: orbital mechanics don't work that way. You fail astronomy forever.

I just love the way holy rollers, delusionals, and other bullshit artists like to shove their unsubstantiated crap into the conversation parenthetically, as if that will make it fly under the radar. Other times they will mutter chapter and verse citations during their spiel, claiming such things as the slaughter of a goat is secret code predicting the ethnic cleansing in Bosnia or something. I could do the same with every fortune cookie blurb I have ever received if they were numbered.

What about not believing in a god justifies anything?
