Actually Fundie Christians appear to be most immoral people on the planet according to what we see overhere. They are like maddened "pit bulls" held in check only by their fear of eternal punishment. They are constantly telling atheists that they would rape, pillage and plunder were it not for the fear of divine retribution and hell, and they can't understand why atheist don't misbehave without that fear. There people are scary in their lack of internal morality.
So, if you take kids and teach them to hate, you're not degrading other people's faiths. If they critisise this, they're immoral. Sense?, not really.
If I understand the undercurrent here: atheists are immoral not because of their actions but because they base their personal moral codes on something other than the bible. So for fundamentalists, words speak louder than actions, but for atheists, actions speak louder than words.

Fundies do horrible things, by their own standards, and try really hard to hide it. Ted Haggard anyone? That makes them... moral?
People like this should really think about who they're talking to and about.
I dare this person to tell my daughter to her face that I'm among the most immoral people on the planet. If she heard that, she would know it was a damn lie.
If I had to nail down one thing I dislike about people like this the most it is their lack of consideration.

That is a very interesting opinion. Do you have any facts to back it up? Hmmm, didn't think so.
It seems that the atheists (most likely only one or two, at most) that you know are nothing like the ones I know. The atheists that I know are some of the most moral and law abiding and kind individuals I have ever met. In fact, they seem to understand forgiveness, equality and fairness to all individuals better than some "Christians" I have met.
Don't lump one or two bad apples into the whole pot.
With all the religious people in jail, I suppose the correlation between law and moral is quite weak?
And then you're FOR the death penalty? Let God sort them out or what?

We were around as the Greek gods were overtaken and given Roman names. We were there when the Roman empire converted to Christianity. We were there when the Egyptian dynasties fell. We were there before the Muslim conquests of Asia, and a few of us are still there. We're gathering momentum at a time when religiosity is paramount in many nations of the world, and you treat us as if we've been here since only yesterday.
Papabear , I recall at the age of about 6 I was accosted by one of these nutters, and my immediate reaction was WTF, like you are seriously swallowing that bogeyman bullshit? You're supposed to be a grown-up, FFS!
What, immoral like blowing up abortion clinics and murdering the doctors that perform them? Or immoral like crusading across the continents to kill, rape pillage and burn all those that think/look/act differently to you? Or immoral like saying people are going to hell because they don't believe in the same imaginary friend that you do? Or immoral like... ALL Christians suck, even "moderate" ones, even "liberal" ones. They all base their lives on rubbish. Christians, and Christianity as a whole, are some of the most immoral people on the planet, in my opinion.
I wonder what makes txdave32 think we're so immoral? We don't, by default, believe that genocide, slavery, mass-murder, sexism, racism, infanticide and human sacrifice are moral, but Christians do.
Atheists are immoral?At least they don't have a book full of rules(and threats) that says it's okay to basically sell your daughter to a rapist.
Keep in mind that people often use the bible to justify being horrible people.
