Well, the "Big Bang Theory" goes against therodynamics. And yes, I am illiterate when it comes to science. But, I know a theory doesn't stand up to laws or facts. And this one, breaks one of those laws (therodynamics) I don't know much about theordynamics but, I have seen information that says the "Big Bang" goes against it.

Ignorance is knowledge eh?
If this "information" you have was from your preacher, it does not count.
This reminds of the quote that went something along the lines of "I know nothing about science, but I know that it is wrong."
actually, it's a holy dickwad from space than pulls an entire universe from his asshole that goes against the first law of thermodynamics.
The same law, by the way, also states that, because matter cannot be destoyed or created, it must only change.
Which is a pretty good basis for that 'Evilution' thing you guys have been talking about.
"And yes, I am illiterate when it comes to science"
yes you are.... im not going to argue about that
"I don't know much about theordynamics"
you should have stopped when you said you were totally ignorant about science. it would have spare us from a lot of stupidity...
If you are illiterate when it comes to science, its no wonder that you can't even spell therModynamics; so why do you claim to know so much about it?
As a note, not all atheists subscribe to that theory (big bang) as there are several competing theories among physicists right now, and any of them might turn out to be more credible in the end. That's the difference between religion and science; scientists intentionally look for ways they might be wrong.
"And yes, I am illiterate when it comes to science."
You didn't need to tell us. We had figured it out on our own. Would that the same were true of "Christian love."
The Big Bang theory is not perfect. We know that it's pretty much how it happened, and how long ago it happened, but we're not entirely sure how.
There are conjectures as to how it happened though, and none of them contradict the laws of thermodynamics.
@ boobiesandexplosions
Matter can most definitely be created and destroyed. That's what the equation E = mc^2 is all about. In nuclear fission for example, the products of the reacton weigh less in total than the reactant, and the energy released is proportional to the missing mass. It's energy that cannot be created or destroyed.
At least he seems to be willing to educate himself, later in the thread.
Unfortunately, he insists on keeping the name "ChristianJuggalo," and I just can't take anyone with a handle like that seriously.
"And yes, I am illiterate when it comes to science."
Most fundies are.
"But, I know a theory doesn't stand up to laws or facts."
You just confirmed your science illiteracy.
"I don't know much about theordynamics but, I have seen information that says the "Big Bang" goes against it."
Science illiteracy does not constitute information.
"I am illiterate when it comes to science."
Yes, yes you are.
"I don't know much about theordynamics..."
I don't know what "theordynamics" is but if you meant "thermodynamics," no, no you don't.
Well, I don't know much about religion, but someone told me that Christians are secretly Jewish.
what do you think of that, you Jewish person?
Huh?
I'm onto you... *makes "I've got my eyes on you" sign*
"Well, the "Big Bang Theory" goes against therodynamics."
Pssst! Fundamental physics as we know them didn't exist prior to or shortly (and I mean veeeery shortly) after the Big Bang.
"And yes, I am illiterate when it comes to science."
You actually admit you have no clue what the hell you're talking about but feel that you're in a position to pass judgment anyway? Astounding.
"But, I know a theory doesn't stand up to laws or facts."
Whose laws and which facts? Be specific and show your work.
"And this one, breaks one of those laws (therodynamics) I don't know much about theordynamics but, I have seen information that says the "Big Bang" goes against it."
What an utter moron you appear to be. And so proud of it too.
therodynamics eh? Well, perhaps the big band does go against this peculiar beast, however, it works perfectly fine within the confines of real science.
What does this post prove, other than Jughead here has access to a keyboard, but demonstrates an inability to use a spell-checker...?
I have seen information...
Riiiight.
1) Under general relativity, there is no meaningful interpretation of the phrase "total energy of the universe", objects have an amount of kinetic energy determined by their motion relative to an observer in an inertial FOR, for instance.
2) Posited scientific phenomena such as 'dark energy' would imply that the universe isn't a closed system (one which mass and/or energy neither enters nor leaves) to which the LOTs would apply.
3) Even ignoring 1 and 2 above, all that the 2LOT would imply is that the universe had a very low entropy to start with. Since the Big Bang theory merely says that the current universe expanded from an extremely hot and dense state some 16 billion years ago, and does not address where this H/D state came from (or indeed if it came from anywhere), the 1LOT is not violated. What you're thinking of is cosmogeny, the BB is cosmology.

Well mister >snerk< Juggalo. I too happen to be illiterate when it comes to science, and especially physics, so let me show you how it should be done:
"I am illiterate when it comes to science... therefore I will stop talking."
Did you notice how I managed to sustain my image of "not looking like a moron" for the duration of my utterance? This is the wonderful benefit of Keeping your Fucking Mouth Shut. It's very hard to end up looking like a moron when you do it.
Try it some time! :)
"No officer, I don't know any laws here, but I know its not legal for you to pull me over."
Learn a little bit of physics, or are you still looking for Galileo so you can lynch him for saying we aren't the center of the universe? (hint) he's dead already
You don't know much about thermodynamics, but you do know the "Bib Bang" goes against it?
Quit listening to your preacher and crack a fucking book.
"And yes, I am illiterate when it comes to science ....."
Be honest, you are just a illiterate.
I'm not very well versed in science either (something I'm working on, though). But at least I don't go around spouting off about stuff I have no right spouting off about.
Even without a solid scientific background I found biblical explanations quite laughable at around the age of 9. Simple observation answers alot of things. Open your eyes.
I believed in Santa until I was 9 1/2. LOL
I'm laughing that anyone is admitting to being any kind of "juggalo".
The ignorance and religion are funny, but come on!
Anyway tell us about this "information" and how the laws of "therodynamics" apply before the decoupling of matter and energy.
But, I know a theory doesn't stand up to laws or facts.
Try to figure out what a Scientific Theory is, butthead. I have no problem calling myself a long-time Juggalo, but no Juggalo should be that retarded.
@Damen:
I'm down with that. I was getting annoyed by all the clown hating going on.
@Wandering Discordian:
They said god, not Jesus (at least in the song) and though much of the "Dark Carnival faith" (as it's called) seems to take a lot from Abrahamic religion, it also has many many differences from xianity, especially fundie xianity.
Plus they have a song about killing preachers and beating nuns to death. And another one about how corrupt faith healers and such are.
I don't know Jack Shit and never met Jack Diddley and, in fact, I've never even heard of Bo Diddley, but, by God, I'll tell you how you ought to live...
Don't know much about history
Don't know much biology
Don't know much about a science book
Don't know much about the French I took
Don't know much about geography
Don't know much trigonometry
Don't know much about algebra
Don't know what a slide rule is for.

I don't know but I do know but I don't know, so I'm right, but I've actually seen information, is now some kind of valid Christian argument against a scientific concept?
Piss off. I don't have time for your stupid, "Juggalo".
Someone could make a fortune just by writing "Physics for Juggalos."
Chapter 1 would be "Magnets and how they fuckin' work." We'll cover thermodynamics in chapter 2, starting with how to spell it properly.
"And yes, I am illiterate when it comes to science."
Coming from a Christian and a creationist, I am surprised only at this kind of open honesty.
Confused?
