This is kind of like the "if a tree falls in a forest and if there's no one to hear it, does it make a sound" question.
No it isn't
There's no way morality couldn't exist
The question wasn't about morality, it was about religion. They are not one and the same. Morality and religion exist independant of each other, and seeing as how often the latter lacks the former that is just as well.
Same with religion
No it is quite possible for mankind to take off the blindfold of superstition.
If religion was a myth, then why have people been practicing it for 2,000 years?
There are people who worship myths a lot older than yours and you would still argue that they are following a myth. So tell me, what makes yours any different?
A myth has never lasted for that long.
Egyptian, Babylonian, Persian, Sumerian, Greek, Mayan, Roman, Aztec, and Native American mythologies say your wrong. All of the aforementioned myths has existed for well over 2000 years and some closer five of six thousand years. Makes you two thousand year old mythology look pretty insignificant don't it?
It isn't a sin to be gay,
I know fundies who would like to have you burnt at the stake for such a statement.
but acting upon it is wrong.
Why? Give me a single non-biblical, truthful reason why.
Putting your fantasies into action is the sin.
But isn't prayer asking god to put your fantasies into action. And what's wrong with living out your fantasies if they do not cause harm to come to anyone?
