Why does the burqa need to be islamic? It could be a christian burqa, not be all black, maybe have a cross or a dove on it and be white or blue? What about one that is decorated?

Burqas are cultural things, not religious. But, they are more common in Isalmic cultures.
Most burqas I've seen (in pictures; I don't think I've ever seen one in real life, despite our two Nazi parties bleating about the rampant Islamisation of Sweden), have been blue, lilac or purple.
Why have them at all?
Nobody's stopping you, Alvis, from making your own burqa with a cross AND a dove, if you want to. As I said, your clothing is your choice.

Burqas only work in countries where you don't have to drive, worry about crossing the street, and roads don't have curbs. Anyplace else, they jack up the accident rate.

Like Swede said, the Burqa is not a "Muslim thing", so much as an "Arab thing". Muslim women in Turkey, Europe and China (among other places) don't wear burqas. In those regions, maybe you'll see a simple headscarf, but you sure as fuck won't see a full-body burqa. Shit, Egyptian scholars and clerics are realizing that the burqa is a purely Arab concept and not an Islamic one, and are encouraging female students to ditch them.

Frums are weird people. They go on and on about female chastity & how female bodies somehow "tempt" men into raping or whatever. What floors me is that they never consider that it works both ways...that women are "tempted" & "defiled" by the lush hotness of gorgeous men!
The only explanation I can find is that all that talk about "chastity/tempting men/etc." is a bunch of hot air and they just want women to be objects for the purpose of maid, slave, rape doll, baby factory, etc. Women punished for rape are really being punished for daring to speak out, fight back & resist.
That's the only explanation. If it was genuinely about "chastity" or "temptation", guys would be stressing chastity & covering up for themselves. Men would be shamed for walking topless or wearing tight jeans that show...what their parents gave them.

I'm slightly confused by the posters who propose a burqa for men, since a "fashionably dressed man" is already covered everywhere except the hands and head.
