Jesus offers eternal life and a great hope.So why would anyone who doesnt believe in Christ want to have Children?Who would just grow up to have cancer, have a horrible car accident, get murdered or suffer some other kind of grief, have no hope after death?

Umm... yeah, sometimes that is exactly how I feel. What's your point? God somehow makes that better?
Of course, it was a dickwad that took away any real choice I have in the matter, but the way the world is today, I'm not raising any germ monsters to go out into it.
"Jesus offers eternal life and a great hope.So why would anyone who doesnt believe in Christ want to have Children?"
I...I'm sorry...but the second sentence doesn't follow the train of thought of the first sentence. You might as well have said, "So why would anyone who doesn't believe in Christ want to have a salad instead of a soup at dinner?"
Because we have hope that our children will live in a better world, and we strive to create the best life for them we can instead of sitting around with our thumbs up our collective ass waiting for Jesus?
Why do you tards have kids? If this world sucks so much, why don't you all just die and be done with it?
Maybe people, you know, like children and like the idea of being a parent, even if they're not insane Bible-thumping lunatics.
Just throwing that out there.
Because most of us, recognising that there's no other way, are actually trying to do something about fixing our crapsack world and making it better for our descendants, rather than vainly hoping that magical skydaddy will come and fix it for us whilst basically doing fuck all.
Longest username I've ever seen...
Oh, and the post didn't make sense either. But it's fstdt, so that's assumed.
Santa offers presents and full stockings. So why would anyone who doesn't believe in Santa want to have Children?Who would just grow up with no Legos, have a horrible accident on their bike because nobody brought them training wheels, get coal in their stocking or suffer some other kind of grief, have no clue how to construct or punctuate a goddamn sentence?
Let me summarize "By love thy wife as Christ love the church"'s attitude:
"Life sucks. And I want to die."
Now, that's really a lifestyle one has to bring everyone, even one's own children, into.
I demand prison for those people. They are clearly evildoers. We need laws for that!
lol wut? You know what would be an amazingly good selling point for your cult? If your followers never got cancer or have car accidents or any other sort of grief. But lo and behold, you're victim to all of these things just like any other group.
As for "no hope after death". That's correct, we won't have any hope after death, on account of us being, you know... dead.
And also because there are all kinds of wonderful experiences that life has to offer. On the good side: children of atheists (and most others too) get to experience the wonder of nature, the fun of discovery, and may grow up to fall in love, have rich and rewarding friendships, a career that is important and enriching, read (and maybe write) great books, see (and maybe make)cool movies*, hear (and even play) great music, see (or even make) art, try many delicious foods, have an awesome sex life, interact with their own children, and see the dignity and happiness of humans increase with the abandonment of ridiculous expectations of post-death rewards from a malevolent sky fairy and a refocus on making paradise here on earth. I am an atheist and I am as happy as a pig in shit.
*Ong Bak is reason enough to bring a child into the world.
Because...brace yourself for this, because it's a shocker...WE SEE LIFE AS MORE THAN A GODDAMN WAITING ROOM! We enjoy sharing our lives with others. We see the beauty around us. We don't sit in the chair, reading the magazines, we LIVE!
So why would anyone who doesnt believe in Christ want to have Children?
Because there are maternal/paternal instincts in women/men to ensure the procreation of the species homo sapien. Yes, it's that easy to explain.
Who would just grow up to have cancer, have a horrible car accident, get murdered or suffer some other kind of grief
We all face an uncertain future each and every day we wake up in the morning, whether we believe in God or not. Christians face the same possible fates, good or bad, as non-believers. Somewhere, at some time, an atheist has died peacefully in his/her sleep while a devout Christian has met a bloody and horrendous end in a car crash. C'est la vie.
The hope that keeps me going is that tomorrow the sun will rise. Tomorrow will be a fresh chance to put my mistakes behind me and grow as a human being. Tomorrow will offer me choices and options I may not have today. No guarantees but who ever said life came with a warranty?
"So why would anyone who doesnt believe in Christ want to have Children?"
Oh, maybe because we Atheists aren't paedophiles.
David Koresh and Tony Alamo had children. Look what happened to them?
Therefore the morals of we Atheists are infinitely superior to those of you fundies. After all, why does your 'God' allow child sex abuse to happen?
Aye, there's the rub...!
Let me see..........procreation, perpetuation of species, fulfill emotional needs,..........or to think that there is hope in just living and fighting for that. You know, not just atheists, muslims, buddist and other religious people HAVE children. On the other hand, if what matters is the afterlife, I could well say, why having children?. Why perpetuating "this life"?. You see...........
I would so want to hear, what these people think wish, that there is after death? What it would be like, in their opinion... They just keep rambling about life after death, but i'd like to know, what the great F do they have in their minds about what it'll be.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
