There are an estimated 500 Elvis fan clubs around the world. There are Elvis impersonators by the hundreds, if not thousands. Even decades after the death of Elvis, he is still worshipped as a god by the multitudes. I even found the photo to the left portraying Elvis as a christ. The Elvis fan craze is nothing less than blasphemous idolatry. The Graceland mansion in Tennessee still rakes in millions of dollars each year from visiting Elvis fans from all over the world. It is sickening! Given the title of "King of rock n' roll," Elvis certainly lived up to the sexually degenerate term. Elvis was NO hero amongst bible-believing, Christ-honoring Christians. Elvis' music was a Trojan horse to America's youth, desensitizing them to the evil's of Hellish rock n' roll. In case you don't know, the term "rock n' roll" originated from a godless radio DJ in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was a slang term used to describe sex. Elvis was a sexually degenerate whoremonger who wasted his life in sin. Tragically, Elvis influenced millions to join his revolution of rebellion. Elvis was a heathen!

Elvis has just left the building --
Those are his footprints, right there
Elvis has just left the building --
To climb up that heavenly stair
He gave away Cadillacs once in a while;
Had sex in his underpants,
Yes, he had style!
Bell-bottom jump-suits?
That's them in a pile,
But he don't need 'em now,
'Cause he's makin' Jesus smile!
Elvis has just left the building --
(There he goes!)
Those are his footprints, right there
Elvis has just left the building --
To climb up that heavenly stair
The Angels all love him,
He brings them relief
With droplets of moisture
From his handkerchief!
Cher'bim 'n ser'phim
Whizz over his head --
Jesus, let him come back!
We don't want Elvis dead!
So what if he looks like a wart-hog in heat?
He knows we all love him --
We'll just watch him eat,
So take down the foil
From his hotel retreat,
And bring back The King
For the man in the street!
Elvis has just left the building --
Those are his footprints, right there
Elvis has just left the building --
He's up there with Jesus, in a big purple chair
These people really have absoloutely no lives at all, do they?
I mean... it must be one pathetic existence. Can you imagine almost having a heart attack when something remotely considered "un-Christian" (by Fundie terms, at any rate) comes on TV, the radio or in the newspaper? Sad, really sad.
We tend to think of Elvis as that crazy old guy that grandma listens to - so it can't be harmful, right?
WRONG!!
Elvis was constantly dancing and leading people away from the Lord. He could have used his talent to influence people and win millions of souls. Instead, he died and heard the words that most of you are going to hear, "Depart from me ye cursed, into the everlasting fire that I have prepared for the Devil and his angels."
Repent now.

Frank Zappa for the win!
B-b-b-bad... B-b-b-b-bad to the bone...
The King was a christian, and a devoted one. He has three gospel and two Christmas albums, what MORE could you want!?
Elvis Presley was a superb singer and those people, even if taken to ridiculous extremes, don't care a bit about his personal life. It was something concerning HIM only. They just pay tribute to him as the great artist he is, not as GOd. If you're unable to understand that, you're a horrible person and a shitty pastor.
Elvis, like all people from Ohio, was a very devout man. Ok, he was not a saint, but, overall, he was a very respected Christian, and we're all sinners, you know. The portrait of Elvis as Jesus Christ was not suggested by him, it was an idea from SOMEBODY ELSE. Blame that person, if you feel offended, not by him. If you want somebody who is a moralist holier-than-thou person, look for a pastor, not an artist, because he was paid to sing, and that, he did it very well.
In reality, Elvis was just an ordinary human being who said and did things that resonated with society at the time and gained him popularity, then he died.
Yet, people worship Elvis, base their lives around him, impersonate him. They assert his perfection and deny any bad things attributed to him. Only a few decades after his death, and having photos of him dead in the morgue available to them, many of his followers will swear blind that he's still alive - others have stranger theories such as him being an alien.
Decent Christians would never do that sort of thing!
David could save himself a lot of time, and just post about the things that are within his blinders. Buuuuut it's a lot less fun for us that way, so keep it coming, man.
I think Mr. Stewart lacks that little switch in his brain that prevents him from spewing every stupid little stray thought that pops into his head.
Elvis wasted his life in sin? What's it to you? He influenced millions to join his revolution of rebellion? He influenced rock and roll, but that's about it.
Your sense of perspective is skewed. Go read a book or something.
"In case you don't know, the term "rock n' roll" originated from a godless radio DJ in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was a slang term used to describe sex."
No, Davey, it 'originated' in describing the motions of a ship at sea. Rocking and Rolling. it was later applied to sex, but also to the way congregations in black churches responded to really powerful services.
You would probably say they're not real churches, knowing nothing more about them than that. You, of course, are a judgmental idiot, ranting here about a man over 30 years dead when you ranted.
Confused?
