People were created by God and that theory of us coming from monkeys was just a theory whereby people wanted money. I cant remember the name of the couple who discovered the theory but when they died they confessed to frauding people into believing that.

Some things are very wrong with this:
1. People didn't come from monkeys; people and monkeys had a common ancestor.
2. "Just a theory" is like saying Gobs is "just a deity."
3. The "couple" was Charles Darwin.
4. Charles Darwin's "deathbed confession" is a myth.
"Did you know that the last common ancestor of humans and apes looked pretty much like a monkey?"
"Why, no, I didn't. Have five bucks."

Just to show the myth stays alive when you lock them into the bubble, or restrict them from "certain" sources.
So many fundies believe Darwin recanted his theory and was in it to frauduantly get rich because they say that about all science, even people in Biological studies and high physics today are smeared as frauds.
Hope Bill Nyes up for it, Neil deGrasse Tysons been in the spotlight for awhile so he'll wave off the new shit being thrown at him.

Probably the Rosenbergs
Aww, damn! That's it. I was thinking Saccho & Vanzetti. Thanks.
I wonder how many people recanted their religion on their deathbeds. Or how many soldiers in foxholes were calling out for reinforcements, more ammo, or a medic, instead of Gawd.
You don't discover a theory, you formulate it, silly. It's a description of a natural process, that can be verified by others, and can be tested time and time again with the same result. It's got nothing to do with believing.Darwin did not recant his theory on the death bed, and it has been so expanded since then (with new experiments) that he would hardly recognize it anymore.
Humans do not come from monkeys, we just share a common ancestor with monkeys.
Frank and Louise Farnsworth of Secaucus, NJ, were the couple who discovered the theory. It was just lying there by the side of the road. People showered them with money when they mentioned the monkey connection because people like monkeys.
Why would you use the theory of evolution as a scam when you could just use religion to scam people and make exponentially more?
I cant remember the name of the couple who discovered the theory
I refuse to believe there's a single creationist who doesn't know who Charles Darwin is, more less thinks he's two people.
I think he might mean Mary/Louis Leakey, since they're the only "couple" I can think of that made any contributions to our evolutionary past (via their fossil discoveries).
Then again, some YEC on Yahoo Answers may not have ever heard of them.
"I cant remember the name of the couple who discovered the theory but when they died they confessed to frauding people into believing that."
Their names were May Dupp and her partner Yuri Lee Balls-Dupp, who published a full retractions of their groundbreaking article "We think we came from monkeys now give us some money!" in the April 1st issue of the Journal of Unsourceable Assertions from 1989.
Sadly, their retraction wasn't motivated by a sudden return to God's graces, but was actually just a precursory step to their next publication "We really think we came from birds now give us more money!"
Unfortunately, a young intern - who was unfamiliar with the way modern science is all about making wild claims without evidence for money - helpfully tried to assist the Dupps' research by pushing them off a building to see how well they could fly.
@Alencon - have you even been reading FSTDT at all?!
Even if Darwin recanted, a theory's validity does not rest with any person. It's the evidence that counts. Darwin was mistaken on many aspects. But he got the basics right.
Confused?
