(on Expelled)
"You are also ADMITTING that they lied to get the interviews."
Yes. Unfortunately to get an evolutionist to open up, you cannot let him/her know that you will be closely examining his/her views.
It's sad, but yes, they had to lie to get the interview.

They didn't just lie to get the interviews. They lied about the entire focus of the movie, so when the scientists "opened up," they were answering questions that were not entirely the same as the way the movie presents them. Moreover, the editing of their answers, and the way that Ben Stein "interprets" those answers in the movie, are also shameful forms of lying and misrepresentation.
There isn't one bit of honesty, intellectual or otherwise, to do with "Expelled." It is pure lies and propaganda.

Lying for Jesus obviously does not count as lying.
And no, I'm pretty sure if I ran into Dawkins in a coffee shop and asked him about evolution, he would explain it to me. Science people tend to be like that, they like to share their information with the truly interested.
Well then again, if I phoned him up and said I wanted to schedule a taped interview so that I could make fun of him in a mocumentary, yeah, then he'd probably say no.
And remove context, and photoshop, and video-edit...
... And we touched up the audio a little too.
BUT THIS IS WHUT THOSE GODLESS COMMIE LIBERAL BABYNOMMING BASTARD ATHEIST RLY BELIEVE SRSLY U GUYZ
christians are underhanded, theyll lie, cheat, steal and kill thier way to the top. at least youre honest......for now......MU HU HAHAHAHHAHA
THOU SHALT NOT LIE
...Idiots. >_O
Would Jesus want you to lie to get an interview? Granted, perfectly imitating the example of a dude who got himself nailed to a cross may not seem like the most desirable thing, but did the question never cross your mind?
right, those evolutionists never open up and express themselves in countless scientific journals or classrooms or auditoriums across the country. No, you have to lie to them first, then conduct an extremely long interview so you have a huge assortment of answers to cut and paste into different locations so you can use them like puppets on film!
If you know you are going to distort someone's statements, I suppose you have to use fraud to get an interview. But who is showing integrity during the interviews? I loved Ben Stein's reaction when he tried to mug Dawkins by quoting the man. Dawkins responding by reading from his own book was a perfect putdown, AND was far more honest than Stein's feeble attempt to make Dawkins look bad.
I don't understand why they had to lie. I've never met a scientist who was not upfront about sharing his or her scientific enthusiasms. It's what they do, on paper or in person. And you can't keep people like Dawkins OFF screen even if you try really hard. Nor can you stop them talking.
I suppose lying for Jease doesn't count as lying.
Sad? It's fucking tragic. Creationists can't get anything right.

I think from now on, whenever Prof. Dawkins consents to an interview, he should insist that there be a clearly visible clock behind him (positioned so that you can't remove the clock without removing his head).
Reminds me of the Simpsons episode in which Homer is accused of molesting the baby sitter. "sweet can- oh sweet sweet can-"
Yes, this is why they print everything they know in hard-bound books and pass them out in schools -- to HIDE WHAT THEY KNOW.
This is why science journals exist. To HIDE WHAT THEY KNOW.
This is why the Discovery Channel exists.
And why National Geographic exists.
etc.
@Sofia.
Check out exerpts on Youtube, this is in reference to them asking Dawkins to fantasise another way life could evolve on Earth and then editing to make it appear he believes aliens seeded our planet.
The whole movies an attempt to convince people we need to force Creationism into science and that it's illegal for scientists to remove religion from their programs.
Confused?
