In order to believe that there might be no ice in the artic circle, for the entire year, in five years (consider, for a moment, where that leaves ice existing sometimes during the year), one must be:
1. Completely ignorant of oceanography, climatology, climateography and basically all real or imagined science.
2. Alzheimers.
Do that on a world stage (Kobenhavn), and your career is over. Buh bye Gore.
He shoulda gone to Christiania instead.

But seriously, what the fuck is "climateography"? And how could I be ignorant of imagined science, when I have imagined it?
the science of the description of climate. climatographer, n. climatographical, adj.
And people on this board say the fundies are unwilling to educate themselves.
@ Antichrist:
Must have been because I didn't correct his spelling before checing it, but now that you've corrected it, I can find it, yes.
Not a native speaker. It happens sometimes.
Please tell me that Kobenhavn is an actual place, and not a pathetic attempt at spelling Copenhagen...
Edit:: Nevermind. I looked it up. Still, that's no excuse for ecofarm to be so willfully stupid.
Why would they come to an old spelling of my name? Heck, the UK native professor who announced my name at graduation all those years ago called me "Christiania" instead of what was on the paper.
PS I'd tell them that the arctic (not artic) circle doesn't always have ice anyways, but the ocean can been seen from satellite imaging to have less ice on average now than before. Som'thin' going on there.
The Civilization games might turn anyone into a global warming denier. Carbon emissions have nothing to do with the game mechanic of "global warming", and no matter how hot it gets, the polar ice cap never melts.
Oi, people! Rag on the fundy all ya like, but really! Kobenhavn is the correct spelling, in Danish. Also, learn about Christiania , okay?
Copenhagen is English for København
The 'ø' is pronounced like the 'u' in butter or in cut.
We always called the city "Køben"
And Christiania can be two things, in this case, probably Fristaden Christiania, an area known for it's alternative lifestyles and easy access to all kinds of drugs. Christiania is also the old name of Oslo.
Technically, the Arctic melting won't do squat to the sea levels.
Now, Greenland or Antartica melting, that could be a problem.
Except that Gore never said that the arctic circle would be without ice for an entire year...
If that's what I think it is, they are thinking of an article that said there might be no ice AT the north pole at ONE specific point in the year, which wouldn't take that much doing at all.
Well that explains why the Northwest Passage has been open lately.
"Completely ignorant of oceanography, climatology, climateography(sic) and basically all real or imagined science. "
LOL!
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
