Actually, what's funny is all the dates for the age of dinosaurs, the big bang theory, and everything else that scientists accept as fact today were formulated when they were still putting dinosaur skeletons together all wrong. There was no possible way to determine the age of these creatures, it was all just guesswork.
Rather than coming up with new ages that better explain the origin of the species, scientists just stuck with the original, off the wall numbers.
I don't know how old the earth is, but I feel very certain it isn't ANYWHERE close to how old they say it is.
Besides, what's Palin going to do? "THE EARTH IS 6000 YEARS OLD! GAH!" *hit nuclear launch button*. How does that have any bearing on anything?
