Yeah, a lot of them said no to emancipation too. Here's the wrench in yet another failed "state's rights" argument, immigration is a federal matter and aside from incarceration for a crime, no state can limit the free movement of those who are upon U.S. soil legally. "The states" can grandstand all they like.
A lot of this Garrison crap has been popping up lately. While he's not a bad illustrator, most of the actual content has been face-palm-ingly bad.
Edit: I have yet to meet anyone who is going ape-shit over this who can also articulate the vetting process that is currently in place whilst decrying the process and demanding it be strengthened. Well, assuming they accept any vetting process at all. It takes as long as two years and their stay is conditional and they can be deported at any time for violations of those conditions, immediately if any red flags occur in their background. As a matter of fact, "Obama's administration" just recently deported a lot of people back to Central America. I'm not defending the idea of completely open and free national borders, and it's obvious we must proceed cautiously (and most people who have no issues helping refugees would say as much) but this xenophobia shit is getting absurd.
At Thanksgiving, the president pardons a turkey. For this turkey, however, there is no reprieve, especially when you need to label Obama. And most states did not say that they would not take terrorists, but they would not take refugees who had been through an 18-month process of vetting.

Went to his site, he's graphically quite good, leagues ahead of any other rightwingers I've seen that way. He may be lazy though. every "joke" he's doing is already established Rightwing echo chamber propaganda, wasn't funny the first time as it had no roots in reality. He's visually pretty good though, as I've said most them are one step above disjointed stick figures. He could be stealing from others and tracing/replacing, these days that's pretty easy but I can't back that up with evidence. Bit of Mort Drucker and Al Davis from Mad heydays there but that could just be valid influences.
I look at my old drawings and see shades of Kirby, J Buscema , BW Smith, Kane or Buckler (70s teen). So I won't fault him for that unless he is literally tracing.
