What distubs us Christians is that liberalism seems to be pushing moral relativism and to me that is Satanic. We who follow Christ believe in absolutes and because we believe in absolutes we are called homophobic. Just because we oppose what is wrong. We have to take a stand on what the Bible calls sin. Liberalism seems to have gotten very antagonistic toward Chirstianity, especially if you look at what people like the ACLU and the people against the American Way have done to eliminate any Christian display from public. There is nothing in either separation of church and state or the constitution that forbids that. We are America and have freedom of religion for a reason. I understand that not all liberals believe in moral relativism, but I wish they would speak out more.

No, when you believe in so-called absolute and as a consequence you put someone aside because of a prejudice, we call you a fundie. It's when that absolute make you tell that homosexuality is wrong by itself that you're called homophobic.
You're a christian, everything is satanic to you.
blah fucking blah.
Why don't you pull your head out of your fucking ass and realize that you've misrepresented everything you have said other than christians are homophobic, and you were denying that.
You feel you have moral supremacy due to your holy book, and that gives you the right to call others evil?
Well, FUCK YOU.
You don't know what the ACLU stands for, you merely parrot the liquid shit that dribbles out of your pastors mouth.
No one is trying to destroy your church or religion, not like you are trying to destroy life for the homosexuals.
When you jump on teh gayz, you are say you are unfairly called homophobes, but when the shoe is on the other foot, it's persecution? How can you fit your water-fucking-head through the door each day?
We have to take a stand on what the Bible calls sin.
No, fundies take a stand on their own prejudices, then cherry-pick the Bible to find justifications for them. The Bible lists hundreds of prohibitions, many calling for punishments much worse than for homosexuality - working on the Sabbath or disobeying your parents, for instance.
... especially if you look at what people like the ACLU and the people against the American Way have done to eliminate any Christian display from public.
Christians can display whatever they want, subject to zoning laws. Plenty of churches have big signs on their lawns showing some quote or another. They just can't use other peoples' property for their own religious purposes - including public property.
A study has shown that religious and non-religious people have pretty much the same ethics and morals. Christians are no more moral than anyone else - less, if you look at the jails.
Moral Absolute: Thou Shalt Not Kill
Moral Relativism: It's ok to kill, as long as the people we're killing
- looks like someone who killed someone from our country
- lives near an oil field
- isn't from our country
- is not a Christian
- is not white
Moral Absolute: Thou Shalt Not Steal
Moral Relativism: It's ok to steal, as long as:
- it's cleverly disguised as a service charge
- it's stealing from people who can't afford to fight you
- it's done under the auspices of government
Yeah, don't give me that "librulz are all about moral relativism and we're not and they're SAYTUN!" bullshit.

What disturbs us Americans is that Christianism seems to be pushing a theocracy and to me that is unamerican.
We who follow American values believe in the constitution and because we believe in the constitution fundies call us all sorts of names.
Just because we oppose what is wrong. We have to take a stand on what the constitution says is allowed.
Fundieism seems to have gotten very antagonistic toward traditional American values, especially if you look at what people like the Christian Coalition and untraditional Values Coatition have done to eliminate religious freedom.
There is nothing in either separation of church and state or the constitution that allows that.
We are America and have freedom of religion for a reason. I understand that not all Christians believe in establishing a theocracy, but I wish they would speak out more.
Funny how we liberals stand for what Christ stood for-peace, understanding, acceptance, caring for the poor, etc. "Christians" stand for none of those. Yes, I do feel antagonistic toward Christianity, because I am sick to death of listening to these freaks tell everyone how to live.
We have to take a stand on what the Bible calls sin. Liberalism seems to have gotten very antagonistic toward Chirstianity
Ah, that good old fashioned lion delusion. "People don't like me, and it's totally because I believe in Christ, not because I'm an asshole." It's Christians that have become antagonistic to liberals, not vice versa. True, on occasion a liberal will grow some balls and fight back a bit, but you need to look at where the antagonism originates.
...people like the ACLU and the people against the American Way...
The saddest part is, the ACLU would fight tooth and nail to defend his right to say this about them...
If thinking that fundies spend way too much time obsessing about other people's genitalia is moral relativism, then...yeah.
if you look at what people like the ACLU and the people against the American Way have done to eliminate any Christian display from public
From government-owned property, you twit. The ACLU doesn't give a shit if you put religious displays on private property.
Christians, or any other religious group, can display whatever religious symbols they like. You confuse your right and freedom to be religious with the right to impose that religion on others. When this imposition is through a locally, state, or federally funded institution sit infringes on others rights to freedom of religion. It is not just your right to freedom of religion that is being discussed but mine as well. Put a 20' cross in your front yard for all I care. Provided that it meets all local codes and rules you can knock yourself out. Heck, get creative the next time you shingle your house use a second color to make a cross up there. That does not bother me nor should it bother anyone else that is reasonable. Just don’t expect me to fund your desire to do so on our courthouse.
I would like to point out that intolerance breed’s intolerance, or, you reap what you sow. You state that the ACLU and other organizations are going after religious groups; why is that? Stop and look at the actions that you yourself or those involved my have participated in to entice these reactions. If you do unto others as you would have them do unto you the vast majority of the time you would find that people are less likely to be antagonistic towards you and or your group.
Just because your religion espouses bigoted views does not make it correct. Thankfully this country goes by the rule of law; reasoned law, not the law of your god. So, I follow the rules of our nation and am therefore acting in a socially proper manner.
Let´s believe in absolutes. Are you sure 100% that you´re not a potential liar, adulterer or hemophiliac?, are you sure that eating shellfish is a sin?, are you one hundred per cent sure, again, that nothing new can be discovered?. There is always a margin of relativism in our lives. Otherwise, we´d live in caves.

Which is why my friends and I made this:

into a T-shirt, with that quote from Obi Wan and "He who is not with me is against me" from Jesus, with biblical reference, on the back.
Liberalism seems to have gotten very antagonistic toward Chirstianity
Nah, just towards jerks. If you act like an idiot, you get treated like one, that's all. It has nothing to do with whether you believe in Jesus or not.
There is nothing in either separation of church and state or the constitution that forbids that.
There's a difference between a public display of Christianity, or of Christian symbols, and trying to crowbar Christianity into the legal system, or public schools. You can wear a cross all you like, or put those stupid fish on your cars, and nobody will say a word. You just can't put the Ten Commandments in the courthouse, because that IS covered by seperation of church and state.
What really disturbs me is right-wing jerks who assume that they speak for all Christians, and right-wing GOP toadies who claim GOPFOXNEWS is "fair and balanced", which is about as relativist morally as any human being can get(actually it's more of a damn lie). Wow, you may be on to something, GOPFOXNEWS is Satanic!
"What distubs
......wow..... i don't have anything else to say...
Confused?
