Normally, Black Helicopters are taken to be secret United Nations vehicles that are spying upon American citizens and are plotting a hostile take-over of the United States. This is part of the larger idea of there being a UN Conspiracy to take over America, imprison its citizens, undo the US Constitution, and replace it with a 'liberal, global, socialist, multi-lingual and multi-ethnic' tyranny.

Yes sure, the world's largest, most beligerent army/airforce lets the UN fly over it's territory.
The UN's army is based on an undersea island using the advanced technology of Atlantis and Zenu and manned by aliens from planet X.
Makes as much sense.
What,again?
Liberal, global, socialist, multi-lingual and multi-ethnic all sound good to me, But I realize it's propably your most terrifying nightmare ;) Besides, apart from socialist, USA is more or less all of these, with varying degrees of liberal. Sucks to be poor you.
It's really a shame that the real-life UN is impotent, because a liberal, global, socialist, multilingual and multiethnic society really doesn't sound that bad. So I guess classic conspiracy theorists are racists, making any such post an automatic twofer.
Reading this quote as is isn't crazy in itself, because it's just describing what crazy people believe and not saying that the black helicopters or the NWO conspiracy theories are real.
@Brendan: The UN just WANTS you to believe that they're impotent. Never mind that they've been supposedly plotting to take over the US/world for 40 years now and haven't gotten any closer to one-world government.
A liberal, global socialist, multiethnic, multilingual tyranny?
Where do I sign up? Technically a tyrant is one who usurps power by force, so I could do without that, but otherwise it sounds pretty Utopian.
@Doubting Thomas: That just proves how TRULY DEVIOUS they are - keeping their competence a secret for so long and all! D:
I live about 25 miles from Quantico. Just about any military helicopter, and many civilian ones will look black against the sky.
UN troops are largely hired from countries like Bangladesh, India and Pakistan. Should they ever start building bases in the US, you'll be able to smell their mess tents a mile away.
@werewolf
"Could we replace black helicopters with UAVs? Classier and less noisy."
Screw that. I'm gonna start playing the lottery, so that when I win, I can buy a fleet of black helicopters to follow people around.
The UN promotes peace. It's nothing to be afraid of. You, however, have some bizarre delusions.
@Adey
Don't forget they have a moon base conveniently located on the far side of the moon so amateur astronomers can't find it with mere telescopes.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
