Ask any doctor what the purpose of the heart is. He'll give you an difinitive answer. He knows that it's there for a reason. That's intelligent design. Everyone believes it whether they admit it or not.

You're a dope whether you admit it or not.
And that's d-e-f-i-n-i-t-i-v-e.
Consider starting kindergarten again.
What's the purpose of an appendix, Orenotter? It can be safely removed without any harm to a person, but can kill them if it gets infected and bursts. If that is indicative of a designer, he was anything but intelligent. And vestigial tails, WTF.
Sure, the heart has a purpose.
It also sometimes stops fulfilling the purpose it was designed to do. But that's God's plan, too, right? How do you possibly argue with people who consider order God's plan and chaos God's plan?
How does "intelligent design" show that humans and chimps don't share a common ancestor? For Christianity and the Bible, that's the only thing that matters. Assuming four-chambered hearts were created by God doesn't prove Adam and Eve didn't have ape-like ancestors. Apes have four-chambered hearts, too.
Our genetic composition and that of the chimp is almost 99% identical, ergo the chimp is the result of a design that's 99% intelligent.
Nah, it means chimps were created in 99% of the image of God.
To pump blood. Except of course how come fish have a one valve heart, anphibians have a two valve heart, reptiles three, and mammals and birds four? Evolution.
I dare you to ask a doctor this. S/he will stare at you with a blank face and wonder if you really don't know that a heart pumps your blood through your body.
If I'm in denial about anything, it sure as shit ain't this.
If my doctor (medical) gave me “an difinitive answer” Id seek a dictionary and a second opinion in quick succession.
If my own level of ignorance was so great that I had to ask a doctor to explain the purpose of the heart, I too would fear the world around and hence turn to superstitions, voodoo, animism, Intelligent design, or similar to cope.

Sheesh, your heart is what you think with, read your Bible. For example:
..he will be glad in his heart... Ex 4:14
...he will harden his heart... Ex 4:20
...hate thy brother in thine heart... Lev 19:17
..For as he thinketh in his heart, so is... Prov 23:7
...But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart...Mt 15:17-20
On the other hand, the brain isn't mentioned at all in the Bible so it's clearly not important.
Assuming the outcome, parroting, telling people what they think and friendly strawmen aside, oh, my mistake. There really isn’t anything left after removing all of that.
Quoted from Wikipedia:
The heart is a muscular organ responsible for pumping blood through the blood vessels by repeated, rhythmic contractions, or a similar structure in the annelids, mollusks, and arthropods. The term cardiac (as in cardiology) means "related to the heart" and comes from the Greek ?a?d?a, kardia, for "heart." The heart is composed of cardiac muscle, an involuntary muscle tissue which is found only within this organ.
So thats what is for. Intelligent design, my ASS! Evolution FTW!
