In that particular forum, moderators close any threads which "promote homosexuality" (thus silencing any gay posters in that forum) or which challenge a fundamentalist, literal view of the Scriptures.

Now you tell me, o Canuovea: how can an extremely constructive and logical post elsewhere by UberLutheran - which merely states fact - constitute, or possibly equate with Trolling? You tell me. How can making statements of fact, which are impossible to contradict (lest those cut to the quick by said facts only dig their own dogma & bigotry holes deeper by saying anything to the contrary) here on Planet Reality, constitute shitposting/chain-yanking?
All fundies have to do - if they deign to appear here - is to answer our questions to our satisfaction. Isn't anything else they say - such as the usual bigotry/ad hominems/strawmen/threats of 'Turn or Burn' etc etc ad infinitum ad nauseam - (or if they're just trolls, doing so for their own 'lulz', thus they can't justify their presence here; on other forums/boards, they'd be banned for trolling) just proving they can never justify their presence here?
Remember what FSTDT is about: 'Those who don't want their beliefs laughed at, shouldn't have such funny beliefs', calling out those who make unjustifiable statements, via their own words, vebatim. Trolling is unjustifiable**. Are there any quotes by Quakers, Amish/Mennonites, Sufi Muslims etc here? There are Christians who comment here. Why aren't they offended by what's said by others here, against fundie Christians? Aye, there's the rub.
*- Remember: 1 Thessalonians 5:21 (KJV): 'Prove all things; hold fast that which is good', thus the Burden of Proof is always on them, as their precious Scripture forces them to. They must answer our questions, and so what if - in they being logically conered, and doing so - their 'beliefs' are destroyed in the process of having to answer us (thus they have no choice but to avoid the issue with 'Apologetics', Reinterpretation', reduced to non-sequiturs/ad hominems/threats of 'Turn or Burn', or simply abandoning the discussion/debate/thread, and by their own [non]admission admit we Atheists are , as we have been, right along)? Not our problem.
**- The 'Shop A Troll' campaign here in the UK. Reporting trolls to their ISPs, also the police, to - bottom line - have them removed from the internet permanemtly. If not have them arrested for cybercrimes.

Is 'Trolling' the act of a normal, decent, civilised, sane person? There are other ways of having 'fun', are there not...?
Freedom of speech is one thing - but with rights come responsibilities. And as per being civilised, with the attitude towards rape shown here in FSTDT against those who would even think of condoning such an act, and what one thinks before one says/types such, remember those two golden words that applies to both instances: Self Control.
Normal, decent, civilised, sane people possess that, as part of their psychological makeup. In the case of rape, certainly considering one's social standing & public image, keep it in your pants.. In the case of what you say/type, the neurological filter known as Political Correctness.
