“I disagree with the premise of the geologic column, since there is no evidence for it (it only exists in the text books)"
You don’t agree that older layers would have been set down before younger layers? For god’s sake, how? How the fuck do you suppose that the paleozoic layers should be set down above the carcinogenic?
Besides, IIRC there are six places where the entire geologic column exists. So, argue with repeatable observations.
“Mt St Helens was your death knell, since even some unbelieving geologist scientists admit 90% of all geology was overturned by that event.”
Ninety percent? That would have made headlines.
So you’re saying that they cannot use geology to find new deposits of oil and other fossil fuels, huh?
“Now you even have a growing number of evos who admit the evidence for the Grand Canyon supports the theory that it was carved out rapidly by a water breech.”
The amount of pressure required for moving such a large amount of material would have left straight lines, no?
What if you got a field of mud, maybe five different layers of mud, and used a 5-inch firehose to blast that material out of the field. Use that to draw a scale map of the Colorado River flowing through the Grand Canyon. Every bend, every place it folds back on itself, every time it turns 180 degrees within a half-mile. And no excess channels.
G’head. We’ll wait.
But even aside from that, there can NOT BE a scientific conclusion of magic. The Flood was a supernatural event. Someone looking at the Grand Canyon and being scientific, the closest they can ever come to ‘Goddidit’ is ‘we don’t know.’
“So much for the “geologic column” existing there!”
Has anyone said the entire GC should exist in the Grand Canyon? Has anyone said that if the Flood is a recent event, there cannot be a GC? Do you know exactly what you’re refuting here?
Can you tell me what’s being refuted? “This layer of ____ being exposed to air at ____ level refutes the claim Dr. ______ made in his paper ______, page ____, year _____.”
Or are you just babbling childish boo-isms?
