You not understanding the theory or the components of the theory does not mean they’re ‘made up’ when they’re explained to you.

Nothing in the theory actually requires an organism to change with time. If they’re well-adapted to their environment, then they have no need to adapt in any other direction. But maybe you’re thinking of coelacanth? Or crocodiles?

But, again, if they’re well-adapted, then they don’t HAVE to change.
