...not all statements need a citation. If I were to make an edit saying "95% of all liberals practice deceit" it wouldn't need a citation or reference, because it is a truism, so apparent to anyone with common sense and an open mind, that it is obvious.

"...not all statements need a citation. If I were to make an edit saying "95% of all liberals practice deceit" it wouldn't need a citation or reference, because it is a truism, so apparent to anyone with common sense and an open mind, that it is obvious. [citation needed ] "
Fixed.
Two can play that game:
You're a baby-eating shit-showering knuckle-draggin mouth-breathing dipshit. That's a truism. I don't need a citation, but you provided me one anyway.
Your post proves me right.
prove it
"We don't need any proof of God, we have faith, and since thats worked so well :we don't need to prove anything, ever"
That's the mentality in a nutshell. God is truth so everything they say is true since they believe in God.
Brain damaged by Christianity.
Irreparable logic failure
I'd guess it's closer to 100%, as I've yet to know of a single liberal, conservative or bokononist that isn't occasionally decietful. There's a truism that doesn't require a citation, then again, it eliminates the whole point of the original statement.
That's a baldfaced lie, TK. Everybody knows it's only 93.4%.
(And yeah, truism is a word, and he is actually using it correctly, so far as grammar goes. Factually, not so much).
... not all statements need a citation. If I were to make an edit saying "99 percent of conservatives are soulless, hateful, fear-mongering bastards" it wouldn't need a citation or reference, because it is a truism, so apparent to anyone with common sense and an open mind, that it is obvious.
All christ-stains are ignorant fucksticks, and sarah palin is a lying, stupid cunt.
Hey, you're right! No citation needed when it's so obviously true!
I guess it depends on how you define "deceit." If you nit pick to even the little white lies (No, honey, that dress doesn't make your ass look fat.) then yes, that number is likely accurate. However, I seriously doubt your side of the field is innocent of that, either.
@ LDM
So I could say "All conservatives are narrow minded idiots who make shit up just to further their agenda" I wouldn't need a citation either?
Correct, you don't need to cite anything that would be considered common knowledge.
Thank you for confirming what we suspected - conservapedia never lets such trivial things as facts, honesty and objectivity get in the way of yet another mendacious, bigoted rant. For supposed christians you do one hell of a lot of lyin'.
not all statements need a citation.
Translation: I have no idea what I'm talking about and I just made stuff up; so if you want a citation, I don't have one. Therefore, I'll try to bluff by saying "it's so obvious a citation isn't needed". Hell, it works sometimes in poker when I pretend I have a third king hidden ...
Actually, FACTS do need a citation, statements do not belong in an encyclopedia unless they are relevant to the topic and made by an expert/relevant personality, who is to be quoted correctly.
Like this:
"95% of all liberals practice deceit" (TK )
Iget it. So if I made an edit saying TK is full of shit it wouldn't need a citation or reference, because it is a truism, so apparent to anyone with common sense and an open mind, that it is obvious.
"If I were to make an edit saying "95% of all liberals practice deceit" it wouldn't need a citation or reference, because it is a truism, so apparent to anyone with common sense and an open mind, that it is obvious."
Ah, so going by your logic, if I were to make an edit saying "God doesn't exist, and right-wing fundies - especially Andy Schaftafly & co. on Conservapoodia - who believe he does, are inferior subhuman morons", it wouldn't need a citation or reference, because it is a fact, so apparent to anyone with intelligence, common sense and a logical mind, that it is obvious.
Amirite?
Well, when you think about it, hes right. It just says "practices deceit", which means anytime you ever tried to present anything as somthing it wasn't. Which means pretty much everyone.
As most humans probably have told less than the whole truth at some point in their lives, you might be not completely wrong.
Your sentiment is NOT a sign of an open mind. You refuse point blank to give liberals the benefit of the doubt.
Confused?
