I just left my local assembly for the same reason, and am very sad. A "new direction" has blown in and now it is all about "unconditional forgiveness". The word "repent" has been excised.

Let me tell you this, there will be satanists at the last day that will not be much surprised at their upcoming suffering.

There will be more atheists, "convenience" agnostics, pagans and just plain hedonists on judgement day. They will be unplesantly surprised.

There will be Muslims greatly shocked by their great suffering: an eternity with 72 virgin women. All of them equally unhappy feminist lesbians.

But nothing will compare to the shock and gnashing of teeth by those who have amased fortunes on earth by the misuse of His Name.

Read Matt 22 and shudder, you who have a form of godliness but deny The Power by preaching a meek and mild Jesus.

If the Pharisees were taken aback by the Saviour that came as a lamb, how much more shall today's ministers be cursed when the Lion of Judah shows up instead of the sacrificial lamb.

The FEAR of God is beginning of wisdom. While it is true that Perfect Love casts out fear, as the Gospel fulfilled the Law, it starts with FEAR. Not awe, not reverence, not "an appreciation of the numinous", but abject terror.
