I was under the impression that skinny gay men actually found it difficult to find... um, "mates," because they weren't bulky, muscular and "manly" enough. And if this was true, wouldn't there be less fitness-nut super-macho gay people and more neotinetic skinny hipster gay people? But whatever.
This logic makes no sense at all. Prepubescents are barely distinguishable by gender anyway. If you were attracted to maleness or femaleness, wouldn't that be the LAST thing you considered attractive?

It's a simple witch-hunt tactic. Homosexuals used to be (almost) universally reviled in western society as depraved and unhealthy. Today, the zeitgeist has changed and most of our society, fundies aside, realize that homosexuals are no more likely to be depraved than other samples of the population. Like all witch-hunts before it, fundies were then faced with a major problem: how do they stir up hatred against homosexuals again? It's easy; associate them with a group that today's society regards as depraved and unhealthy. In other words, associate them with pedophiles.
This tactic will work until society views pedophiles in a more accepting light. From there, homosexuals and pedophiles will be accused of bestiality, and the cycle will continue.

Youth - as in 18 or so, is considered attractive in both males and females, by hetero and homosexuals alike. This is not wrong - although it can be weird when a person's partner is less than half their age.

This is so hypocritical -- our culture is SATURATED with men lusting after underage girls. Think about it: how did pop stars like Britney Spears, Beyonce Knowles and Billie Piper become famous? How many models start when they're underage? How many classic rock songs are all about girls who are "just seventeen"?
