Yep. It gives us hope that other places will awaken as well . . . and put it back in the closet where it belongs.
They can make a good case for homo marriage when they start behaving like heterosexuals where 80% of women and 70% of men are faithful to their marriage partners.
And even among the minority who aren't, most count their affairs in the single digits, not the triple digits.
Most of us saw nothing wrong with giving them Civil Unions so they would have rights of inheritance, hospital visitation, etc. But, no, they had to f*** up the entire definition of marriage!

What are the stats for faithfulness in gay vs. lesbian marriages?
Using your "logic" and your stats on hetero marriage, men shouldn't have the same rights as women to marry.
Who the f**k have affairs in triple digits? Well, except perhaps the Orange Clown and one or two of his "fellow" republican men...
Most of us saw nothing wrong with extending the definition of marriage to be "two consenting adults who intend to live together indefinitely and care for each other". I know that the parts with "consenting", "adults" and "care for each other" will cause problems for you fundies.
The ones who f**k up the definition of marriage are the ones wanting to marry children or have arranged marriages without consent of the woman, or the ones being unfaithful to the current wife with the future wife, or dumping the wife when she's in chemo therapy for a newer younger model.
"But, no, they had to f*** up the entire definition of marriage!"
No, I think that the people who are trying to redefine marriage are saying things like 'It's for people who produce babies!' or 'It's the basis of the constitution!' or 'For all of recorded history it's meant one man and one woman!'
None of which are true...
And even among the minority who aren't, most count their affairs in the single digits, not the triple digits
2001: Ratification of government legalising same-sex marriage by 85% of the Dutch population.
2015: Legislation-deciding referendum on same-sex marriage: 62% of Ireland's population agree .
2015: SCOTUS. In Soviet America, Newt Gingrich & Donald Fart's definition of marriage fucks up you .
As does one in two of all 'marriages' by heterosexual couples in the very religious Midwest & 'Bible Belt' states.
Now go back to sleep, Pratman.
Don't act like marriage is such a sacred institution when ~50% of all marriages end in divorce* and "serial monogamy" is a thing. I'm just waiting for the first few inevitable same sex divorces when you and your ilk say, "See? They don't know how to stay married!" while you ignore people like Rush Limbaugh, Newt Gingrich, and various other conservative Christians who have had multiple marriages.
*Not to mention the high divorce rate among fundamentalist Christians
Faithfulness or not, promiscuous or not, here's an idea....MIND YOUR OWN BEESWAX!
Why are these idiots always so obsessed with the lifestyles of other people that have no affect on them?!
Right. People should stick to "godly" marriage, with mutual fidelity rates somewhere between 70% (all the adulterous women are married to the adulterous fraction of males) and 50% (the two groups don't overlap). Where in the Bible is the failure rate stipulated? And are you sure you want to use those statistics right here where they invalidate your argument?
Idiot or Poe?
Marriage of "homos", i.e. Homo sapiens sapiens, has been going on for at least 5000 years - or longer. Long before any modern religion.
Ahh...fidelity. Everyone's heard of the 3 Mrs Gingrichs, but how about Barnaby Joyce? You may not know who he is, but on the news here we've heard about nothing else for the last week or more. He's our Deputy Prime Minister, who opposed SSM, and now his wife has now kicked him out, for making a young member of his staff pregnant.

Oh, but he hasn't fked up the definition of marriage, because according to tradition, people like you and Joyce think the definition of marriage is for someone to play the family man, while having their bit on the side. You know, it's about heterosexual male privilege.
Confused?
