Actually, from what submissions I've seen on FSTDT, I would conclude that fundies are the ones obsessed with bestiality.
I mean, anyone notice how most anti-homosexuality arguments of fundies usually refer to irrelevant bestiality practices?
1) There really isn't that much interest in bestiality to begin with.

It's very much the same sort of thing as how the Roman Catholic Church can't seem to distinguish between pedophilia (very, very bad), ephebophilia (not as bad, but still an abuse of power), and homosexuality (more or less harmless, at least if practiced properly). If you put it all under the category of "sin", you likely can't be bothered to make a distinction based on impact because it's already been declared a Bad Thing.

Actually, Christians have actually said that they would prefer bestiality to consensual human homosexuality, saying that it is a lesser evil.

In Texas, during a time when rallying was being held to pass a law banning consensual homosexual sex between two people, there was also rallying from most of the same group to get rid of a current law banning beastiality.

I find quite inconsistent that we may exploit animals, kill them in gruesome ways, eat them and breed them by the million in atrocious conditions to those very purposes, but somehow fucking one is wrong because it "harms the sheep". Seriously?

Sex without consent is rape. Animals can't give definitive consent, ergo sex with animals is rape.
