Again, this "homosexual=pædophile" thing is like the new blood libel. A scare based on a supposed epidemic of abuse of children by a heterogenous group that cannot change who they are, resulting in irrational discrimination, in spite of a notable lack of evidence.

Any "repealing of pedophilia laws" is more just people realising there is a distinction between being a pedophile (a mental illness) and being a child molester (a horrific crime). This is good, because you can treat pedophiles more easily this way and hopefully reduce child molestation.
Yes, there are some unfortunate parallels to be drawn to the start of the gay rights movement, but child molestation will forever remain a crime because it is proven by countless studies to be harmful to its victims. Homosexuality, however, it harmless to people who engage in it.
1 - Homosexuals can be biological parents, especially if they initially, when forming relationships, deny their true orientation due to the perceived stigma.

3 - No doubt some homosexuals have positions of power, but what does that prove? Historically, there has been an overwhelming majority of people opposed to homosexuals in power, and things have changed because of a more accepting and tolerant outlook held by society towards the LGBT community. This is because many people have been educated, or have educated themselves, to realise that there is no gay agenda to recruit children and demonise straights.

Gays as a group are opposed to child molestation. In the 70's, the LGBT community tossed NAMBLA out of our events and meetings. Why were they eve a part? Because their original mission was to push for equal ages of consent for gay sex and straight sex; in many states, you could have hetero sex at 16, but it was illegal to have gay sex until 18 or later.
