I've waited so long to hear them finally admit there is little difference between the Christian fundy utopia and the Muslim fundy utopia.
And we're eventually going to have to come up with a Godwin parallel for Osama.
I propose we call it Schlafly's law.
Obama is so terrible because he might be a covert Muslim plotting to bring the US down from within, so America would be better off being run by Muslim extremists, who wouldn't be bad anyway because they're conservative. It must be scary to feel so conflicted.
So "socially conservative" is desired more than people who actually care about the survival of the country?
I'm sure Levinite could go to Afghanistan and join the Taliban if he desires Islamic conservatism so badly. I'm sure he won't, but it's refreshing to hear him admit that he wants the same things that Muslims want. The only difference is that he has a cross symbol while the Muslims have a moon symbol.

Unlike most right-wingers, he admits that American's foreign enemies are social conservatives themselves.
Religious fundamentalists apparently live in a state of near-constant fear: fear of change, fear of progress, fear of liberty, and fear of their fellow humans. They keep reasurring each other that their god is in control because the alternative, in their eyes, is complete chaos and anarchy, since humans can't do anything right without holy guidance.
Liberals are evil because they (seemingly) promote social chaos, due to their misplaced trust in sinful human nature. Fundies crave social control so badly they would rather have an avowed enemy in charge than evil, chaotic liberals.
Trying to understand the fundie mindset is like putting your brain in a straitjacket. It's giving me a headache.

Agreed. This is proof that the attitudes that many religious people have indicate that if they weren't fighting each other, they'd all be fighting US.
Maybe the Zionists and the Christian nuts who support them will think about that next time they see Israel destroying civilian building (such as a U.N. school ), stealing the identities of foreign individuals to infiltrate foreign nations unallowed to assassinate Hamas operatives (Dubai earlier this year), and shoot innocent greek journalists, etc. and so on, calling it "self defense" all the while.
