So AV, you came across this information where? What is your source and how can you confirm this event happened? And just how is it that christians turned the upside down? Why did they do it? How did Nero know what had happened, or that christians were to blame? and one last question, did it hurt when you pulled this little factoid out of your ass? In AD57, [what is now called] Antarctica was at the top of the world --- due North.
In AD58, [what is now called] Antarctica was at the bottom of the world --- due South.
And yet there is not a trace of the worldwide cataclysm that an event of that magnitude would cause. Not to mention the fact that someone in the world might have noticed that the seasons reveresed overnight and wrote that down for posterity.

Nero never needed an excuse to persecute anyone. Nero considered himself to be a god incarnate in addition to being the emperor of the largest empire in the world, Nero did not need to make excuses to the population to justify anything he did. If Nero wanted to persecute christians then christians were persecuted, no excuses required.
