[Check the poll results to see a startling revelation about the fundie mindset regarding change.]
My political orientation has never changed. I was born this way. Only change is a greater understanding and appreciation of the enemy.

So, there is gen of Republicans or Democrats? should we still be living in the caves, according to you?, and how do you explain people who shift their votes, why so many campaigns to gather votes?, how do you explain conversion or born-again Christians?
Also in the thread:
But I'm happy being conservative. Sure beats embarassing myself trying to convince everyone that the U.S. government was behind 9/11 & other crazy conspiracy theories.
Because all nonconservatives are conspiracy theorists.
Some character traits are present at birth and presist into adulthood. Perhaps some of these lead one to be a life-long conservative, though I'd bet there is a significant environmental contribution too. For example, stupidity can be present at birth, and a stupid child, raised by ignorant, bigoted, Fundie parents, is probably going to be a life-long stupid, ignorant Fundie conservative. A brighter child is more likely to be able to escape such a fate. Too bad about Voegelin.
Um...political orientation is a human construct. I would say you can't be born with something like that.
You are nonsense. Please try again.
Edit: I think that there are probably certain inborn character traits that might lead one to identify more closely with a certain political party later in life...however, that pretty much depends on what country you are born into and what kind of political parties you are exposed to in your life.
So, to sum it up: you are still nonsense.
Mr.Smith:
No, they're not, but there's plenty of riot-squads pre-emptively making sure anyone not white, affluent and wearing republican pins gets taken off the voting lists for it..
You know somethng? He does make a lot of sense here! I have to agree. I was born a Republican and will always be one until I die. LOL . The same If I were born a Democrat makes no difference. People are members of a party for many reasons, but factually, the strongest influence is that of the parent. most people will find that their parents are members of the party they belong to. (check it out!) Economics determines the second reason one belongs to a particular party. (fact) I taught American Government so I know this is a fact. As voegelin sttates here, "It goes right over their heads". chuckle chuckle chuckle
This bullshit shall not stand. Voegelin and gg are both liars, have no knowledge of their subject and never taught anything to anyone - typical of the internet. The point does not "go right over our heads" because there isn't one. It's just a bunch of pseudo-intellectual words thrown together at random in an attempt to intimidate us with vocabulary they don't understand.
Protip, boys: Acting like you have a superior intelligence really pisses off those of us who do.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
