Thank you for this great post!
I don't know where you are going, but, here are several things I do know (on the presupposition of Christian theism, of course):
1. God will not force you into Heaven against your will. (That would be kidnapping.)
2. No sincere truth seeker will ever miss out on all of the evidence they need that God is real. (Jesus promises us that in Matthew 7:7)
3. Therefore, if my God is the One True God, as I say He is, then only those who have closed themselves off to Him will end up in Hell.
CS Lewis captured this sentiment when he wrote:
“There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, "Thy will be done," and those to whom God says, in the end, "Thy will be done." All that are in Hell, choose it. Without that self-choice there could be no Hell. No soul that seriously and constantly desires joy will ever miss it. Those who seek find. Those who knock it is opened.” ? C.S. Lewis
But, I do believe there are many people who HAVE closed themselves off to God, at least for now. The deathscorts at our abortuary have told me flat out that they despise me and they despise my God. So, again, if my God is the One True One, as manifest in Jesus of Nazareth, then, unless these folks get a change of heart, I really do believe they will end up in Hell. Heaven would be hell for them - they would be surrounded by the people they despise (me), the God they despise (Jesus), and the babies they have been accessories to in killing.
Now, what is my view on pro-life agnostics? The ones I know closely tend to be sincere truth seekers, and highly moral persons - in that they demonstrate tremendous courage in defending the most vulnerable lives on the planet. I generally am not overtly concerned with them, because they seem to be driven by the data, sincerely seeking truth, and moral objectivists - all superior to where I was as an atheist. (This includes you, IMO, but I do not know you as well as some others.) So, I do not believe that God will cut them off from the living before they find Him.
Sorry that was long, but you know me by now. :-)
