Maybe not all, but it's a fair bet to say that almost any "family values" elected official is pretty likely to be one day found doing meth off of a same-sex prostitute's ass. I'm comfortable generalizing that in a way to most Republicans being comfortable with lynching people darker than they are and beating uppity women.

From my experience, the ones you have to fear are the ones who focus on rules and being "more holy," over actual values that Jesus talked about. They usually have the nasty skeletons in their closets, and are trying to cover that up, like this guy. (The Judge, not NeoMatrix)

I saw a psychologist discuss this question during the Larry Craig entertainment.
She said they imprinted on conservatism, then discovered they were perverts(in Larrys case gay) then went thoroughly overboard on conservatism to un pervert themselves and convince themselves that they couldn't possibly be perverts because "see how antipervert I am".
